Shemar Stewart

There is more to this story than Stewart being a headache. The Bengals are one of the worst organizations in the NFL, challenged only by the Browns. They are currently trying to scr*w over Hendrickson.

But more important to Stewart is that they inserted a clause in his contract that basically allows then to void the contract for any reason they deem appropriate. Stewart is not holding out because of the money. He is holding out over a clause that the Bengals alone have added to their contract from what is an otherwise standard NFL rookie contract.

Someone had to stand up to this lousy ownership and organization. Whether we like Stewart or not, we should be rooting for the right thing to happen.
Maybe it's b/c fat Moe asked for courtside seats again.

this. even their own fans are saying theyre trying to ***** with him on the contract. theyre notoriously cheap. they just went through the same **** with one of their current players.

Dude turned out to be a first rounder regardless of numbers. Scouts saw the film and saw what he did on it. You don’t need 1000 sacks to be a productive first round type
So how many do they need to see because they didn't see hardly any from him?

Whole lot of non-productive college players were 1st round draft pick bust...

Guess we'll see with this non-productive tarzan looking SF kid...

This is lazy analysis.

Shemar Stewart looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane and got drafted b/c of physical traits and not from elite on field production.

Simeon Barrow was 1st team all ACC and played well for us. He wasn't drafted. He had a greater impact on our DLine than Stewart did at A&M.

He probably sets the edge and disrupts the run at a high level and is mega talented. You won’t see that on the stat sheet

Stewart has intangibles size weight speed quickness and disrupts the run game. Where as Barrow is a small DT who they think will be pushed around by NFL OLineman. It’s a fair analysis, ***** the numbers. Give me the talent

I don't think it's a huge miss or even one. He wasn't' a game wrecker by any means.

BUT, at the time and still to this day, rather have him on the roster then not, certainly would have raised the floor and given us better rotation on the DL. Just not sure the juice was worth the squeeze on this one, regarding the apparently known lack of effort, his squad around him, etc.

I think the best thing to look at this is, would we have won or lost more games with him or not. Maybe game would have been tighter, not sure we win games we lost with him on the roster.

A 5 star with those measurables, you would certainly expect better. Mesidor, Bain and Shemar all play the same position (strongside End), so we didn't lose much because of the talent at that spot. It's equal or greater in my opinion.

Again my opinion, which is worth about dirt.

The only thing I care about is the Miami Hurricanes .... IDGAF about the NFL.

Barrow was a better college player than Stewart no matter how many fake metrics you come up with (ie: sets the edge and disrupts the run at a high level).

I couldn't count his recruitment as a miss.

We literally did everything right & offered plenty of money, along with rolling out the Red carpet. There was nothing more we could've did to convince him to come here.

But when you have a fat ******* like Hoggish Greedly acting as a kid's advisor & controlling his recruitment, there's no winning in that situation. Shemar didn't come to Miami because Coach Moe was never going to allow it.

He's exploited & used Shemar as his meal ticket & has him completely brainwashed. You simply cannot fairly recruit a kid that has that kinda of influence in his ear on a daily basis.

And as is stands, it appears that Hoggish still has his hooves dug deep in Shemar's mind & is controlling every aspect of his contract negotiations with the Bungles, which is only going to backfire & blow up in their faces.

We've had plenty of misses, this one was not. Aside from him being from Miami, there really was no connection to UM for him.

Yea I know we always do everything in our power to sign someone, effort I will never complain about. Results that I will complain about

We'll see soon enough...
Not for the Bengals if this isn’t resolved in the next four weeks. They’ll eventually trade Shemar to another team (hopefully not the Giants, who I believe also tried to insert the same contract language that initiated the holdout).

I'm a Cowboy fan so as long as we don't end up with him I'm good...
