People really need to get familiar with how these marketing deals are drawn up. They are incentive laden deals that have base payments (monthly) and quarterly performance metrics that trigger bonus payments. The deal is worth UP TO $1M. With that DL they are recruiting, I would bet $ to dingleberries that most of those kids wont hit the numbers (social media impressions, click-thru's, etc.) to get more than just the base payments.

In a few years, you'll get all of the sad stories on ESPN about how big bad capitalist took advantage of a bunch of dumb kids coming out high school.

Mario needs to get on a conference call with Carol Soffer, Marcus Lemonis, Jose Mas, and John Ruiz and figure something out…..step to the big leagues

Multiple staffs particularly Clemson believed Skinner to be trouble which is why FSU was leading then Bama came in and swooped him away. FSU fans then tried to save face by claiming what Clemson did. Shemar having a handler doesn’t mean he doesn’t have stability. @Brooklyndee has already said parents can be worse than handlers themselves. This “stable” family is telling Saban that their son is signing with him the morning of ESD then signs with Miami. Does this story sound familiar? Moe saying A&M leads, DC is announced, A&M feels fantastic…. We will see at 1:30, but regardless of where he signs. The point remains the same, acting as if recruiting will be the same as years past is asinine.
 
Just being real…I said before they hired Mario that this was the last chance I was giving Miami. Either get “back” in the next couple years or I’ll find another team to follow because life is too short to waste on a school that won’t invest and do what it takes. If they don’t care, neither will I.

Seen some good signs but We need to sign top 5 classes every year. Full stop. We need to sign multiple 5-stars like Bama does. That’s the only way “back” ever happens.

Call me a bad fan, but I’m not interested in following a middle of the pack ACC team even if I did go to school there.

If it takes 30 mil to compete, then play the game. If Shemar needs a bigger bag, drop the bag.

Way the wind is blowing, it’s not looking good for the future

We are in the big leagues but we are the Padres and they are the Yankees, Boston or the Cubs with money.

I don’t think it will be the same. I’m pointing out the crazies who created their own hype and then start crying all in the same 48hr window and then bash Mario. That **** this morning on this board was a mini canes years meltdown.

We should have a monster 2023 class. Stewart would be a massive pull but it’s always been an uphill battle. That’s all I’m saying

I’m saying what a lot of people are thinking. If Mario can’t win here then nobody can. And if Mario can’t recruit a championship team, he can’t win a championship.

And a lot of people like me aren’t gonna show up for a 9 win ACC team. That’s just how the city of Miami is.

I keep hoping we’re gonna be back to ‘00 levels but if I believe that won’t ever happen, then it’s a waste of time investing anything in the team. It is what it is

That’s why Baylor needs to keep winning and UT needs to get back. When we upgrade and Mario gets busy, that TAMU money won’t be good here. Would you rather come from the Pork and Beans go to UM making 50 a year and be the reason the U came back or to TAMU making 100 coming 3-4in the SEC? Brands and legacy still matter, NIL and all.

Oh yeah, the dumbasses of our fanbase… the Clemson portion is what I refer to them as 😂. This is a rebuild, idc what anyone says. You won’t convince me otherwise and we aren’t a top tier program that some like to believe. Can we be? Yes, but we aren’t. It’s about changing the perception. I believe us when we say we are going to spend money and have second to none facilities, but you actually have to do it in order to change the nations perception. I believe you posted whoever we get at this point is just the cherry on top which is true. Mario is elite as it gets as a recruiter, but he can’t walk on water and fans need to get over themselves if Shemar signs elsewhere.

Not attending games and “finding a new team” are totally different. If you bleed G&O, there is no finding a new team.
