It really did look scary when Shelton Henderson, Miami’s standout freshman guard, went down grabbing his knee in a way that me thinking from the couch, a potential ACL injury.

He was sent to the locker room and appeared to be in a lot of pain. At that moment, it didn’t look good at all.

After the game, head coach Jai Lucas provided an update as Miami prepares for Boston College Eagles men’s basketball tomorrow.

“He’s fine. It scared him more than it did anything. He just tweaked it a little bit, but nothing serious. Got all the stuff done. So he should be good,” Lucas said in his presser.

Henderson is averaging 14.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting nearly 60 percent from the field this season for the Hurricanes

What initially looked like a serious injury turned out to be nothing more than a minor tweak, and that’s the best news Miami could’ve asked for. especially with March coming up.
Good news for sure!

I'm sure the mental aspect is tough, when you're looking at a future NBA career.

Is Shelton Henderson expected to go pro after this season? I have not followed college basketball in a very long time so I wouldn't know. Hopefully he comes back next season. Has NIL had as significant of an impact on basketball as it has on football?
