Sheldrick Redwine Respect Thread

OP, I appreciate you for making this thread. I love Canes who keep their head down, rep the U hard, and work to be better. Redwine did that. There were a lot of CISers who **** on Redwine regularly. Hopefully they can admit the errors of their ways.

Was pretty much 95% of the board tbh..never understood ppl who can’t put them selves in the players shoes and take the fan shades off at times. Especially after the whiteboard stunt

Was watching the draft today and started thinking about my favorite player from this years graduating class - and then it hit me that Redwine was by far my favorite player. Got a super late offer but committed and stayed committed. Was a true Cane for 4 years. Had a positive attitude even when they moved him from DB to safety. Sometimes it feels like he was on the team for 6+ years and not 4. Can't even describe how happy I am he was the first Cane drafted. Mad respect Redwine - true Cane 4 Life.

Some great threads from back in the day (and a few lol-worthy comments):

Nice thread. Fun to go through those links. Pretty impressive evaluations by a few posters.

Hit he put on the fsu qb last year is legend.

One of my all time favorite games to watch, that game had alot of comedy in it for me and shouts out to the referee's for letting them boys ball out and talk **** the whole game. I just remember laughing when Fsu threw that slant for a touchdown right in front of redwine than frenchie came up talking **** to em like wtf were you doing, that was your man, scored on you in your face, the beauty of what you pointed out, redwine didnt forget!
To you sir:

Strong post. The kid wanted an offer BAD, got it late, came in and got on his grind. He improved every year imo and he's on his way now. Good luck kid and keep reppin The U hard!

IMHO, he will be a solid pro. In a pass first league, coaches will love his length, speed and versatility: can cover WRs, RBs and TEs; excellent ball skills; strong and tough enough to tackle and support the run defense. Can plug him in immediately in a variety of defensive schemes.

All the best to Mr. Redwine in the NFL!
