Shavar Manuel Update

From a conversation at a house party/BBQ last year, lets say with people close to him, I can tell you there is much love for Miami, but no confidence in Golden and especially with Donut. Still a chance because they big Canes fans and would "prefer spending weekends in Miami than sitting in a hotel room in Tally" (notice the quotes). These kids know being a NFL $$ Millionaire in 3-4 years is a real possibility and that's why he's at IMG. They want coaches they believe can show on the field results, play in big national matchups and win, play for conference titles and "win" and be a BCS contender. Sadly all things Al is not.

All I can tell you is don't believe everything you hear at a house party /BBQ from some random person that claims to be close to Shavar because most times they arn't reliable sources.

Potential NFL $$ has nothing to do with him being at IMG

**** reading comprehension a MF'er round here! Listen I know and used to be business partners with a prominent coach on the IMG staff! I was given a tour of their impressive facilities, dorm and a couple future "tennis" phenoms were pointed out to me as well! If he simply wanted to play his senior season for a better team he could have gone a short distance to Jefferson, Hillsborough or Plant! I was told, while at IMG, the "top athletes know that in a short time they can be Millionaires in their sport and come here (IMG) in an sports/educational environment that provides them everything they need to realize their full potential". Their ain't a top recruit in all America who is not thinking NFL and Millions. Those athletes are not at IMG for reading, writing and arithmetic! They are there to get the best physical training techniques, equipment and coaching while fulfilling their academic requirements in a sports centric environment. Representatives from all the sports apparel, nutritional and other companies are often on campus already hawking the next superstar and promoting their products, AS I WAS TOLD. All I can tell you is just go down there and see for yourself what the focus is.

Let me ask you this question? Would you want to be Shavar's agent? If yes why? Because he has the potential to make Millions "if" things pan out true? You think he doesn't know that is a possibility? So he's at IMG in an effort/belief that by doing so he can reach his full potential on his quest to eventually play pro ball. I don't know the kid, but lets be real homeboy!

I am quite familiar with IMG campus I've been there several times and have been all over the campus, I could go into details about why Shavar chose to go to IMG rather then just switching to a local Tampa team but its not that serious to me, so ill just leave you to your assumptions and inaccurate sources.

Can you go into details on why he hasn't visited Miami yet but has made several trips to Fsu and Florida?....

Same here. Just general statement about why kids who excel at a sport choose to go to IMG.

Shavar Manuel's top 3: LSU, Florida, Auburn," Manuel said. "They're the three top schools."

Asked why Florida State had fallen out of the lead, Manuel answered that it's about finding the right league to play in.

"They're still in the recruiting process, but I see myself as more of an SEC guy," he said.

So basically he is going to get paid.

On another note, does this mean JRock is going to stop posting/trolling this site?

stop speaking of kids that we have no shot at.. Who cares about this guy.. next next next.

Florida is one of the top three? I can think of 3 other SEC school better that UF.

ok, sorry, but take these sour grapes to the Noles board or whatever other board; he was never a prospect for UM. I hope this is the last thread and final mention of this now SEC guy...Hasta la vista

It always warms my heart to see fsu fans in full meltdown. I realize Miami had no shot, but to read the fsu comments is absolutely hysterical. With the QB news, the Dalvin news and this Manual news, it really is funny to read their comments. I don't condone hitting women at all but for the bad press to be at fsu, they made their bed so lie in it. I hate fsu more than any other school in the NCAA.

Who gives a flying f@ck about this kid? He's not coming to Miami. Everyone knows this. Pointless to post about him.

Eat your own **** grapes. I only commented on UF. I know he's not coming here. Known that for about a year now. Shut the **** up.
