I'm from Bartow got family all over the heart of florida. I'm living in the valley of south texas now tho. Likely to change in a few months for the bay :-D

God Bless you sir! I haven't been in Polk County for about 4 years now. I went for a weekend got motivated by my surroundings and left again lol. Which hs team you support jenkins, kathleen, Lakeland or lake gibson I'm not even going to mention all the smalls schools popping up in the area.

Kleen is the best program in Polk County. I don't say Lakeland because they take kids from all over the area.

I don't know much about them on the gridiron but my cuz Rashad was the bleeping man on the court for Kathleen back in the day.

I remember Anderson balling at UConn. They also have BB Walton who did his thing at USF. And Miguel Paul, gionni's big brother, who flamed out at Missouri.

I grew up playing against Sheldon with the culmination in high school. I went to Lake Region but in baseball back then it was us and Jenkins as the top dogs in the county. Followed by Lakeland, Winter Haven, Adale, Bartow.

Sheldon was a friendly rivalry for me and dude had speed but was a little overrated in my opinion. Speed and potential are the names of the game when getting drafted in baseball though.

I remember watching those Kathleen teams with Rashard too - they were serious.

Ask Sheldon about my brother Chris Link. They used to be tight. I remember him getting drafted out of HS. I haven't heard much about him ever since but I remember Sheldon and his people in Highland city when we were kids.

Haha that's sound like our baseball squad growing up. We actually won states in Dixie youth then lost to texas/tennessee in the world series semi-finals. I stopped playing baseball my senior year but they went to state finals lost to Jesuit.

Off record I don't like tampa Jesuit at all because my senior yr of HS they knocked us out the playoffs in Football, Basketball, & baseball lol we tore they locker up after that buzzer beater loss in basketball haha priceless

Actually Bartow. My wife's father is from Ft. Meade and she has some cousins that have played for Bartow High. It's some talent in Polk County they just don't have the grades or exposure. I the Lakeland area I'd say Kathleen.

I guarantee I know your people. Bartow isn't big at all... it's a poster on here from ft Meade too lol that's funny. Who's your wife? You can pm me!

Rashard Anderson? That's my boy we grew up together in the heights before he went to play basketball at kleen. Small world we live in.

Yup that's cuz alright. I used to think he was gonna be 6'10" or something because he was tall as **** in middle school. But cuz definitely did alright for himself, small world for sure.
