Shaq's Last Visit (7 on 7)

Shaq starts day 1....

Kirby is a senior so that MLB spot is open for competition.

Shaq being an EE helps his cause.

Starting day one is his plan... I see a tough road ahead.. I see advantage to J Young... especially after seeing J Young in the spring game he looked good. If Shaq wants it he will have to put in work... And the other backers comining in with him aren't coming to hold a spot on the bench... they want on the field also... Thats what I like about this class of LBs. Greg trys and play the humble role, but I know he wants on the field also.. and after seeing him in the 7 on 7... I saw he had pretty good coverage skills... he looked a lot better than Bush in my opinion... then you got the young bucks coming in right after them in Steed and Dunning... they want to dance at the party also... its on... competition will make every body better.

Shaqs pops, the first comparison that comes to mind when I think of the ceiling of what Shaq/Zach could become duo wise for us is the tandem of Patrick Willis/Navarro Bowman in the few seasons they dominated together. Shaq being the downhill thumper who tackles anything moving and leads the defense (like Willis) and Zach being the more rangy, athletic type who can run with RBs and TEs but still knock you out if need be...

What do you think about these comparisons and are the fair based on what you have seen from both kids and what you project them at 3-4 years down the road...Thanks.

They are going to be a Dynamic Duo: that is a great comparison Willis/Bowman... They get along already like they have known each other for years... In 3 or 4 years... I can see them being a nightmare of OCs... And in Shaqs defense he can move from side line to side line also... If you have time to check out his Soph Highlights... in one of the first couple of plays.. RB sweeps right... and Shaq beats the SAM Backer to the ball... and that SAM Backer is Darrion Owens... #can 'twait

how does Shaq feel about C-A-G getting fired soon?

Shaq truly likes Al Golden... but he is not into the politics. Shaq is going to be loyal and give 100% to whom ever is in charge. Like me being in the military I had a great number appointed over me in my career... some I love, some I hated... I was loyal and gave 100% to all.

i thought Young was an OLB, no?

Young is likely our starting mike by next season. He will likely eat some of Kirby mins this year too. He did look good in spring, big kid a thumper. I see quarter man coming in and logging mins as a true freshman and not redshirt ing at all. Quarter man will at minimal be on every special teams unit as a true freshman, meaning road trips for uknowwhat. The coming in early will set him apart from the others though

Shaq, Mike, Zach and Greg are all coming in early.

Shaq will be on the field regardless of what Young does. Perryman moved around while we had spence.

Selfishly, we need Young to step up big time, given Kirby and McCord are graduating. We really only have Grace, Owens, Young and Gayot as upperclassmen in 2016 for 3.5 positions. That's THIN.

When I listen to Shaq talk, I get the strong impression that he is a very high character young man. He seems like the kind of baller who will work hard and take care of business on and off the field. I don't think we have to worry about him getting into trouble and being an embarrassment. That is the kind of student-athlete that I would be proud to root for. Congratulations, UknowWhat, it looks like you are doing an excellent job raising your son.

One of the sweetest things about this recruitment is going to be when the story comes out about how Lil Nicky went to Shaq's high school and left looking like he was about to cry -ala Urb and KC McDermott.

Shaq Daddy- your boy handles himself really well in front of the camera. He could have given this interviewer a few tips on speaking. Btw, I'm seeing Mich St being mentioned here. Narduzzi at Pitt now ever try to come after Shaq?
