Who's the ACC's next Ben Boulware? - ACC Blog- ESPN

I've just pasted the snippet on Shaq...

Who's the ACC's next Ben Boulware?

The best bet: Miami’s Shaq Quarterman

Is Miami back? That’s the question the football world has been asking for more than a decade now, and for the first time in a while, it feels like the answer might be yes. Why? One big reason is the young kids at linebacker, led by the incredibly talented Quarterman. Last year, the Hurricanes started three freshmen at LB, with Quarterman the best of the bunch. They were brash, they were confident and they were really good. Quarterman has made clear the standard he’s hoping to match was set by the likes of Ray Lewis years ago, and he and his young teammates have happily embraced the old-school Miami persona of playing hard and talking loud. It’s a formula Boulware would no doubt appreciate.

Not sure I'm feeling the comparison, but good pub for our boy anyway.

If National Champion MLB is what they mean, I hope so. But, Ben Boulware couldn't dream of owning Shaq's potential.

Shaq has some of the lightest feet I've seen on a young man his size. He's the total package.

Shaq is the next great in the long line of great Miami LB's...

Comparing him him to a scrub like Boulware is disrespectful.

Compare him to Ray Lewis, Jon Vilma, Jon Beason, DJ Williams, Dan Morgan, Denzel Perryman, etc..

That's the legacy Shaq is in line with, and when his career is said & done at Miami and he's headed to the NFL, he'll be right up there with those guys as the example for the next LB's that come after him.

MF's better quit playing with Miami's history & put some respect on our name (Birdman voice).

Don't think I've seen this question on here. Who's the best of the bunch Shaq or Pinckney???

Mikes game is a little more new school & flashy. Shaq is the kind of guy that will go unnoticed then you check the box score & he 16 tackles. Can't go wrong either way. Personally I'd go with Mike.

It's an insult to the great American ***** athlete to be competed to some honky walk on who probably makes good grades. Clemson has a lot of talent advantages over Miami at WR, OL, and QB but Boulware will never play at next level and Shaq for sure will.

Shaq was better than Ben Boulware in high school. Might be the next Perryman Vilma or Lewis.... Colin McCarthy had more NFL talent than Ben Boulware

I get why people love the other two Lbs and their potential however Shaq is looked upon as if he is almost maxed out. I completely disagree. Just because he's so polished doesn't mean he doesn't have huge potential to grow.

This kid with two more years of S&C is gonna be a physical specimen with extraordinary football IQ. He's gonna get bigger and faster just like the other two.

"brash, confident", "talking loud"

And here we go...these writers want Miami to be the Miami of old worse than the fans do.

They are not saying their game is the same but they are talking about impact. Boulware has been probably the best LB in the acc the last couple of years. So they are basically saying shaq will be the best LB in the acc.
