"THE RETURN"

I would go after Brock Miller.

For what? We are good with the 3 we have

He's that **** good that's why! He has a nose for the ball, wherever the ball goes he goes. He can play with his hands on the ground or standing up! A TFL & Turnover machince... not the fastest but great instincts and football speed.

Check his tape

I have and also know we just got mccloud back who arguably has the highest ceiling in the class and we have 2 other very good- elite linebackers who are better than Brock Miller IMO. Then we have 3 linebackers committed in 2017 while leading for possibly 2 other high 4 star players in deandre wilder and vandarious Cowan... No space.

Your not guaranteed those 4 LB's in 2017... why not lock up on a sure thing and add much needed depth now. Not a year later.

This.

If we are going to go after another backer, why not Donovan Thompson from Central? wasn't he supposed to be the big under the radar super productive hotshot coming into this season? haven't heard any talk about him for a while.

We're getting 3 good ones. I think a real DC will result in a remarkable difference. Gayot's will return to add depth/speed and I think Mike Smith will be a key addition to the LB core too. Never though the kid should be a DE, another silly Dorito decision. Kid has the speed and athleticism to be a very good LB.

Uh... I'm pretty sure Mike Smith has been timed 5.00+ in his early days at UM, Thats why they tried him at DE and why he hasn't sniffed the field.

He played a little bit at DE at the latter part of the season.

As a parent of a recruit that plays LB..Ive spent the last 4 yrs going to camp after camp and watching film of the top linebackers in the country...and i think UM has a good class of LBs coming in..dont need any more with this class and just three in the next class...The best linbackers I've seen in the last 4 years are Ruben Foster at Bama and RayQuan McMillian at Ohio State...both would be considered slow by this fourm ...but Imo they will both be top 20 picks..85 percent of what it takes to be an inside backer is mental...ManTai was slow..but he is a great backer he lacks in athleticism but makes up with brains...the shuttle is 10 times important that a 49...if LB runs more that 20 yards on any given play its because the d has been gashed..

Brock Miller is that good. I try to fit him in neither Zach Shaq or Mike can play with their hands on the ground like Brock can. The only person on the team that can play both end and LB is Trent Harris.

Uh no, Darrion Owens can and has before, Mike smith

I agree
Speed comes with preparation and anticipation...
George Mira,Tiger Clarks,Ray Lewis (4.6) was never the fastest to play at UM

Those 3 kids look like savages.

This is the first group since Paul, EJ, Perryman group that actually gives me a old um lb core feel coming in...

POPPA SHAQ/ UKNOW WHAT....get your boy and Pinkney up on some UM Gear...from a former um great they should link up with in DJ Williams... see the link below..

I'd be shocked if we don't take four lbs this go round, depth is awful . Then mix in Gayots uncertainty

Grace, Harris, Owens, young, mccloud, shaq, Mike pickney, Mike smith, McCray, Jamie gordinier, Charles perry, King. For the spring along if we are not including gayot. Carter can possibly slide down as well

8 of those were 4star players . 5 of them got game time experience this year

but 3 of them are freshmen.

JMO Perry, Grace, Young and Owens are guys we can rely on next year. If Gayot makes a full recovery, we can add him to the list. Perry is a wildcard, but I feel good about him based on his hs tape. The freshmen trio is extremely talented but I don't think it's fair to expect freshmen, even EEs, who are not skill players to make an immediate impact.

Trent Harris is another wildcard...Where he plays really depends on what type of defense we run. If he can gain some short area quickness, trusty trent can help us as well. I don't expect anything out of McCary or Mike Smith. King most likely needs another year or two in S&C. Gordinier, although a coal shover, is probably the most ready out of McCary, King, and Mike Smith.
