Shaq " 5 star " ?

Like westcoast said, he doesn't have ideal measurables.

5* are talented but the majority of them are athletic freaks which Shaq is not. If he was his current size running a 4.4 then he would definitely get that 5th *.

lol 6'1 240lbs and running a 4.4? Ray Lewis wishes he was that in his prime, much less when he was 17

And I agree with that. I don't believe he runs a 4.4 either.... His biggest weakness is in coverage and working in space. He'll be great fighting through traffic to make tackles. Also has very good instincts. Let's all remember, Perryman wasn't very good in coverage either and he showed out in a pathetic passive scheme. Get a good LB coach and a scheme letting him play downhill allowing him to use his aggressiveness and he'll be a star. He's the type of LB who will put OL on their asses(much like Perryman did with Erving lol).

Half the 5 star kids are bust these kids get to college forget about stars and all that hype just got out and beast.

look star ranking is bull**** and is only there for some kids to make special tv appearances for their announcements and get some publicity..... the moment you step on campus there is no favoritism and everybody starts at the ground floor...... its your dedication, passion, and willingness to learn that will make you a coveted player for nfl teams.......

some of the best to ever play at Da U where low 4 stars, 3 stars, and **** even 2 star prospects.... miami is built on miami kids who want to make a better life for themselves and shine and also to leave neighborhoods where drugs and violence is a way of life.... the old canes had swagger because they came from tough backgrounds and wanted to be great so they wouldnt have to see that lifestyle again......

if richt cleans up miami and souh florida than we will be back hunting for championships in 2 years...... these kids are hungry to succeed and have a better life..... those are the kids who we need to get back to the top..... star rankings is just a waste of time and tells you nothing about the kids......

I grew up in miami and see what these kids go through..... build your team on the dedication of these kids and back to winning titles..... throw the stars and espn rankings out the window

i wasnt talking about nationally, just stating that these kids who are not highly recruited from south florida have a great work ethic and have the talent...... look at how many guys with crappy star rating went on to do great things..... 2 examples would be antonio brown and ty hilton..... they worked their asses off from what they came from and still got to the nfl and became all pro's...... ray lewis and ed reed are not from south florida but look at their passion, work ethic, drive, and championship resume...... i miss getting kids like that at Da U..... thats why i also think guys like desmond phillips, jawan hamilton, james wiggins should get a shot cause they have the talent and work ethic groom them some more and you might have a stud on your hands

Shaq is alot more atheletic than you have seen ...he lead his Jr High in rushing and touchdowns ...the other two running backs from Jr High one had 1400 yds this year and the other over 800 yds...no one on their HS time plays both ways..his gift if he had one is to understand whats going on...i would bet if the Defense change drastically ...from what I've seen...He will be the first to pick it up

Don't go by what the site say..at the Nike camp in Orlando..in the 7 on 7 showcase there was only 3 ints... Shaq had 2 Chauncey Gardner had 1

While being recognized with 5 stars must be a great feeling you still have to prove it at the next level. By all accounts the young man puts in the work to put himself in the best position to succeed. I for one am excited to watch the young man at the U no matter if he is called a 5 star or 1 star by the so called experts.

Wow. Never knew he played offense. Really excited to see what Shaq will do.
