That's pure gold. I don't come across people like you in my line of work, which is probably why I love the banter here. I love seeing how the other half lives. I'm guessing that you're not running a corporation or getting ready for the MCAT.

I don't care about the money. It's the intelligence level. I honestly don't come across people who tell other people to eat a bowl of *****. I wish I could go slumming more often.

It is beyond stupid. As an alum of UM, I would be ****ed if Shalala focused on football over academics. However, all of our sports programs except for basketball have slipped greatly under her watch--and basketball is only a functioning program because a great coach SOUGHT OUT the job. It's not like UM went out and found him. The sports programs slipping so badly falls on her ultimately, and she needs to do better job of finding people who can really run the football program, and she needs to stop trying to neuter some of the UM attitude that made us UM (see the soulja boy incident in 2007--the whole gameday experience changed after that). Of course, people are incapable of agreeing with that because they create some false dichotomy due to their full time jobs as annoying politicos. Whatever.
