Serious question - is the whole season on the line tomorrow(BC game)?

They suck compared to Miami. The corches blew it
We'll see if that's true tonight. I hope youre right

If we win out then it's safe to say the coaches blew it. The players (mainly OL and QB ) gotta step up and prove they can perform, because the OL play was embarrassing in that game, I've never seen an OL get pushed back like that. They stalled so many drives. BOTH QBs looked like they didn't even wanna be there

Catch 22 in my mind.

We win out, make it to ACCCG, get stomped and show up in 2019 with the same ****** offense.

Drop a couple more and I think the heat on CMR to make some changes (OC, new OL coach, something) on his side of the ball, will be intense. Don’t think he can tune it out.

Hopefully all Cane fans are pulling for team to win every game we play?

Season was lost with Virginia lose. Anything that happens the rest of season has very little importance. We continue to be a mediocre team.

We have to win tonight. With the speed of the news cycle this VA loss can be old news if we can right the ship and win out to the ACCCG. Hopefully we can regain the confidence of guys waiting till the end to commit and not lose a year of progress.

Agreed, we win and I could see this ship being righted. Lose and Richt is Captain Queeg

But UM is now on a tight rope without a safety net the rest of the way

Love that movie and yes the season is on the brink tonight. It's amazing how quickly things turn, we went from the high of beating FSU to the brink of disaster in a few short weeks. It's like Smokey posted about, it's this team's apparent lack of passion and urgency that just ****es me off.

The "fans" on here have made it so toxic that yes, this is a must win game. But it is still BC talent versus ours so I am cautiously optimistic. But when you all spew negativity to the level you have done, you really don't help the team. You hurt it. And you **** well sure hurt recruiting. But I know you will continue to do that because you all don't care about the big picture. You want to fly banners irrespective of what 16 or 17 year old kids think about that. Well, the problem is not outside the program but within the fan base. Be positive and elite kids might come. Be jerks and elite kids want NO part of that and you get our offensive line. And you have to have senior leaders and we don't have that on offense yet. Kids want to be excited about the program and its future. They don't want to read a website where every topic is who will be our next OC, and who will be the next head coach. Why would ANY elite talent want to commit to fans who do what YOU do? We have seen it for a decade or more, the elite kids GO ELSEWHERE. But still you persist. SMH.

This came sooner than I thought but this is always the last step for the apologist.

When you can no longer legitimately defend the coaches and you are done scapegoating the players it is time to blame the fans.

This will be more apparent after the next loss. They will blame it all on the "Toxic" fans. We have gone through this so many times you can practically predict the date it will occur.

If only you all understood that your positive energy makes the play calling better and your QB to be more accurate....

You missed it by a week.

YES.. the pressure of a loss today will send ripples that will be felt for years. Gaurentee our 2019 class would be hit by a loss today.

A third loss makes 9-3 the regular season ceiling with very little chance to make the ACCCG (where, even if we did make it, a fourth loss would be almost inevitable). That isn't where you want your program to be at this point in a regime change. We should be competing with Clemson next year if we are to believe Richt can less us to a championship. I don't see how that happens without a strong finish to the year and some excitement built in recruiting.

This game is very important and very telling as to where we are as a program under Pastor Richt.

2 ACC losses put us well behind the 8-ball to winning the Coastal. That's truly the main goal that's left for the regular season at this point. We need to win out. We're already in the spot of needing to win out and having to root for UVA to get picked off one more time. Another ACC loss for us means we need UVA, VT, and Pitt each to lose two more ACC games to avoid tiebreakers...as wild as the Coastal is...that could happen, but we don't want to be sitting here rooting for that. I'd rather us fix our **** and handle our business.

This is why CFB is so exciting yet so stressful for us as fans each week. Every game counts, and once you lose one game (esp. conference games), you have to do a lot of scoreboard watching and hope your team picks up the W each week.

Wait, our identity seems to me to be two dives against a stacked front, then a desperation fly on 3rd and ten. He'll, I bet that sequence is the most common one since LSU. :)

I had just texted something similar to my friend about our opening sequence tonight. Angus is peppered for it.

Yes

Tonight is a must-win 100%

Tough conditions but we are a better team and their defense allows an offense to get rolling

It's sad to say this early in the season. But the rest of the regular season games are Must Wins to save face in recruiting

If we lose this week say goodbye to the following -

- Coastal Champ/ACC Champ Appearance
- Top recruits like Neal, Haselwood, Stevenson, etc.
- Richt will start to lose the team
- Transfers will start to happen
- Pandemonium on CIS
- Stands will be empty at Home Games

So yea its a Must Win
