Silencing/suppressing political/social discourse doesn't mean that the country wasn't already divided along various identitfied lines. Why any mod would think promoting an ignorance is bliss philosophy would make this forum more inviting is beyond me.

Because there's a time and place for everything. We're united by our love for the Canes. We all want the same thing and can bicker all day about how to get there.

Plenty of other boards for you to do just that. In fact the only reason we even talk about this covid, is because of how it will affect the season otherwise I’d be in favor of banning all that talk too

And about accepting and listening to different viewpoints? I don’t think there’s a single poster here that does that. People just spray out their own opinions and insult the other side, that’s all it is here.
