Dawson broke it down as simple as he could in an interview earlier last year. He said when we had a good quarterback we had a good season. When we didn't it wasn't so good. Not rocket science. I thought TVD would be good, but did not expect a mid season yips meltdown.

Facts

Coaches get the blame like they throwing the ball. The plays were creative when he was playing well, when he wasn’t the trust was lost and rightfully so. I wouldn’t tell him to throw it if he slumping and his demeanor/body language was getting worse. Our D (pause) was playing well enough and we didn’t want to keep giving teams a short field (that would be unfair to the defense and destroy the locker room) It’s so logical and if you have common sense you can see what was and happened.

Good thing TVD kept running himself out there and left us with no other options after showing the same signs in 2022…

Always the players with this staff… other “staphs” it was always the coaches…

Such a curious dynamic when it is almost always a mix of both…

Good thing he had more than 1 serviceable quarterback when he got here. Oops my bad.

the sins of the past will come back to haunt you. The classes that should have been the backbone/foundation of our team weren’t there.

Don’t listen to me go look for yourself. Look at the 19, 20 and 21 classes. It’s scary.

Tbh there wasn’t any option and yall would have found out the hard way. Saw enough of the others based on a little bit to know they weren’t it either.

How the perception of the QB room has changed with hindsight…

I think Ward has tremendous upside. I think the spring workouts now will pay off for him. He always seemed like he needed some better conditioning from watching his games. That with a better o line and I feel this offense will surprise some people. I hope the coaches really evaluate the wr room and give young bulls some chances to grow and make plays.

Stamina is always going to be an issue with him. Thank goodness he doesn’t have to run around like a mad man with this OL.
