When you've got that much being paid out at a school like Michigan State, what does that say about the market?

Wait until the elites start drumming up the prices. 10 to 15 mil a year. Deals like this are why I've said schools like us don't stand a chance. We are already getting priced out of the market and it's only going to get worse. Add in the NIL deals, we're cooked unless we find the right up and comer coach.
 
I'm happy for Tucker as he has worked his way up the ladder and has done a good job so far at Mich St.

BUT.............................. there's no way in **** they should give that big of a pay bump to any coach after ONE good season that's not complete yet. If things go south Mich St is screwed. I get what they're doing in making the buyout so expensive other schools will stay away but that's a major financial risk. You do that for a coach that wins championships. He hasn't won anything yet.
 
Lmao at MSU and the ppl who say Mel Tucker is worth this money. The silver lining is that this might force big money Miami alums to up their game.
 
How do you give $100 mil to a dude whose next game is against a team only ranked 2 spots higher than his.....and he's a 19.5 point underdog? This contract should be voided when Tucker doesn't come close to even covering against OSU.

I guess Michigan St. don't bleep around. My god that is a big time contract for a guy who ain't really big time yet. Tom Izzo about to get 25 million a year for life??? At least Izzo won some nattys SMH!!!

Exactly. Even my friends that are Sparty grads can't defend the deal. They're instead saying some big time booster is funding the contract as if that's how athletic department finances work when they have to eat it.
