It’s okay, good to keep them humble but it has to get better. Same for OL on run blocking (pass blocking was spectacular but on actual runs only 3.7 per carry vs over 5 last season factoring out cam ward)

There was some intermediate stuff open that he just missed , he also missed a corner route to 17 and the int was late as ****. He wasn’t throwing to spots but more to when he saw the wr break open. No leading or anticipation. Then he just got rattled when things started falling apart.

Mertz in 2023 was one of the most accurate qbs 73% 2900 yards 20tds 3ints and imo our secondary did well or even better than most fans were expecting. Should keep stacking performances and gaining confidence

Secondary looked better then I expected and also my guy Zack carpenter put the haters to bed. Was never scared when we heard he was struggling dude was all big 10 honorable mention. Knew he could play
 
Two things can be true at once:

1. We haven’t seen the toughest offenses yet

2. They haven’t seen our best defense yet

People act like the other team is the only one that matters. We did what we did Saturday because they couldn’t do anything about it.

Guidry and Dawson have plenty left in the tank

We don't want Mario thinking anything other than that he needs to let Cam and Shannon go score 50, so I am content to have some flaws there that we all expected they'd need to grow out of.

Yes we will see better qbs but Mertz still serviceable tbh and we made him have his worst game at uf by far with a new secondary. Dominant performance

agreed. with a better QB they might have scored a few TDs on the corner routes.
