That’s not exactly what they said. Because the judge that issued the TRO went and threw the SEC into the TRO along with the NCAA, the SEC said they will abide by the TRO until this Thursday when the hearing is held.

At that point the SEC lawyers will get their chance to state the obvious, that LSU is a willing member of the SEC conference who agreed to follow SEC rules. If they don’t like the SEC rules they can make arrangements to exit the conference, just line the rest of the SEC is well within its rights to vote to expel LSU if it chooses to ignore SEC rules.
