Season ticket holders and people going to away games

Listen, I've had enough of Al and where we are at as a program right now, but I'm gonna be a complete fair-weather fan and stop supporting the team and players. The inevitable will happen on its own lol Al's not going to win but I'm still gonna show up and support.

This is the approach I'm taking as well. I go to games because I love Miami Hurricanes football and I support the kids. We all know that Al Golden is not capable of winning at this level and he will be gone eventually but, in my opinion, the kids deserve everyone's support.

Me too, and another reason, in 2 or 3 or 10 years, when we are good again, I'm going to be sitting in some real sweet seats that are not hard to sell on Stubhub if I choose to do so.

You might consider going to Trailerville for their exciting games & not worry about what others are doing.

You just proved my point.
I don't know what other fan bases consist of, but we must have some of the dumbest fans in sports

Renewing your season tickets is a detriment to the team's success. All you're doing is telling the university that you're okay with a ****** product because all you really care about anyway is tailgating and having a good time.

I support the kids, win or lose. Golden's mediocrity will sooner or later be addressed. Blake James's mediocrity will also be addressed. New members on BOT, new president. Hope for the best but support the kids. We have sucked for much longer than the Golden era so this is not a Golden issue, it's a university cultural issue. What is UM trying to become and what is being sacrificed to get there?

There are many different ways to show your displeasure with the program, to each his own but the kids that committed to playing for the University of Miami deserve our support. How you decide to do that is up to you. I won't have season tickets this year but I'll be going to some games. I'll see some of you in the Fall!

Or you are renewing your tickets because you Love The U and the Program. Get a Life.

Last time I bought season tix was 2013 because the ticket office strong-armed me. They said the only way I'd be able to buy a ticket to the UF game was to buy season tix.

Went to one game last season.

Will probably go to one game this year (stub hub) to see the new stadium, hang out with my father who introduced me to this when I was 6 years old.

But I WILL NOT give these people my money.

I understand that. You are entitled to your opinion, but I go to games to support the kids and the program. That's all I'm saying. They deserve the support no matter how you feel about Golden and the staff.

Name one "new" BoT member remotely concerned with athletics. You're a little too optimistic on that front. A more reasonable hope is that Dimare and maybe Miller will act as defacto AD and control the Flake puppet now that Donna is gone and Frenk is seemingly likely to not be hands on. Even then we're still not guaranteed anything but the status quo. Their complete apathy and/or weakness during the Beckham stadium dealings isn't exactly hope inspiring.

Surely if I keep financially supporting them, they will suddenly become concerned with athletics.

Sadly, it doesn't matter either way. We're the least powerful fanbase (partly our own doing but mainly due to overall circumstance) in all of major college athletics. Our collective voice and dollars probably matters less than a handful of Adidas reps to the powers that be in the Gables. Outside of a handful of large donors, it really doesn't matter either way to the school/program what we do. Our only hope is that Shalala truly was restraining some people that care about athletics either due to personal pride or that they have the simple foresight to recognize the power and $ that success on the field/court can produce or that Frenk at least understands/believes this too.

Without question. The infantile brain cannot process anything beyond "hey, bro I have fun at tailgates and love my Canes, so ain't nothing stopping me from going to games". The nitwits with undeveloped brains are incapable of depriving themselves of anything they want at that very moment and looking at the big picture.

Oh, it's there. If you'd stop drooling for one second you might see it.

***** that. I'm a football fan but more than that I'm a Miami Hurricane fan. There are 13 games a year and you want us to sit out whining like little kids? If I can sit through Kirby Freeman vs NC State, this is nothing.

That Kirby Freeman team would mudhole the 2015 Canes.

Where is the cheapest place for FAU tickets.

Because of the importance of the game to them, their small stadium, and its proximity to Miami, the game should be a complete sellout, and tickets will not be cheap.
