Searles is not the Answer for Offensive Line Coach

And how many players were drafted before and after his tenure?

In Texas, their last OL drafted was 2008, Tony Hills.

If you went by draft picks alone, Art Kehoe would be the most sought after candidate.

This falls on Richt & Searles, not the players...

Think back to last year, everyone knew the D had talent and they basically Sucked...

Richt brings in Diaz, before the season even starts he loses 2 of the top if not the #1 player on D... The D has been Lighting it Up out there, and for the last couple of games he's lost more players to injury, Not A Peep out of Diaz, No Excuses... Now the D finally gave up more than 20 points last week but we all Know that the Kids were exhausted... Diaz made adjustments in his game plan, I believe against FSU he went back to a 3-4, not his typical style of playing but it worked...

Now Richt, & Searles need to make those same type of adjustments with the Offensive Line... Stop running it between the tackles all the time, try pitching it out to the back, get away from the RPO & start running play action, what happen to the quick swing pass that worked against App State? How about running some slant patterns so the WR is on the inside of who's ever covering them?

Go Back to what worked against App State because that Offensive moved with a rhythm

I don't want to hear about not having talent on the Offensive Line because who ever we have there is better than whoever lines up for App State & they took Tennesse to the wire & played toe to toe with them

I could give a fvck about draft picks. Just field a line that will protect the qb and open running lanes.

A line with a lot of draft picks is probably protecting the QB and opening running lanes. Conversely, a line without any draft picks probably isn't protecting the QB and not opening running lanes.

This shows good enough athletecism to stick with the guy out of the break.

This shows what happens when Searels technique is applied :

Just like the gif earlier the lineman have bad technique, especially regarding the use of their hands.

To think that Searles has Coached at some of the top Universities and has only had 2 players drafted may speak for itself..

Virginia Tech - 2014-2015 - None

University of Texas 2011-13 - None

University of Georgia 2007-2010 Max Jean Gilles

LSU 2003-2006 Stephen Peterman

In a span of 13 years he's had 2 players drafted...

He's the weak link of the Coaching Staff, and is the reason this Offense may be so dismal

To think that you sit here and believe your own BS is amazing to me. Half a season in with the worst oline in our history and you seem to have all the answers. Wow... This is the very definition of delusional. Dude really has no clue that he doesn't even have a clue.

Is Searles responsible for the FG OL or is it Hartley? My goodness, can we just put Norton at LT and move St Louis to TE? They still haven't adjusted after a blocked PAT and blocked FG.

McDermott is the only starter who has looked good this year. Linder and Isidora have been beat often with spin moves. Linder and St Louis by power rushers. Darling by speed rushers.

Our WRs & TEs haven't exactly been on fire either. We have 10% of the balls dropped. So even when the OL does their job, the WRs and TEs F it up. If they don't drop those passes, we likely are 1-2 Ws better and no one is complaining about Searles.

Dugans- Richards, Coley, Berrios... where is Harris and Mullens? How is the WR recruiting coming along? Guess he needs a new donk cause this on has four flats.

Hartley- one PAT block cost us major momentum and a victory over FSU. How many drops has Njoku had? Dobard is so good they moved him to DE.

That's an equipment issue, not Searles. Problem was clearly McDermott's skates.

How do you explain St. Louis?

That one clip kinda summarizes the entire OL..... just awful across the board.... I don't know if what is there is necessarily from coaching... just looks like players having terrible technique... why would a Linemen ever stop moving their legs then try to just spread his legs and hope for the best?? Then St Louis is sitting there literally playing patty cake.... just no aggression whatsoever from those guys. Cut em loose!!

Just last month, I could not wait for the season to start, now I cannot wait for it to end... :sucide-bag:

Sorry man. Did not mean to neg! Fat fingers on a phone.

No prob. I don't take it personally.

I totally agree!! When you recruit an OL, one of the most important attributes is the kid's feet. There are plenty of big guys around, but see if the mutha can do a few jumping jacks before you accept his commitment!

How do you explain St. Louis?

St. Louis (/seɪnt ˈluːɪs/)[SUP][10][/SUP][SUP][11][/SUP][SUP][12][/SUP] is an independent city[SUP][13][/SUP] and inland port in the U.S. state of Missouri. The city developed along the western bank of the Mississippi River, which forms Missouri's border with Illinois. In 2010, St. Louis had a population of 319,294; a 2015 estimate put the population at 315,685,[SUP][8][/SUP] making it the 60th-most populous U.S. city and the second-largest city in Missouri after Kansas City. The St. Louis metropolitan area includes the city as well as nearby areas in Missouri and Illinois; with an estimated population of 2,916,447, it has the largest metropolitan area in Missouri and is the nineteenth largest in the United States.

This is a start. But with OL it's all about the feet. Has anyone seen St. Louis' arches? Think our OL might all have bad feet.
