He's not a bad coach. Sometimes it doesn't work out for a number of reasons. Diaz was a giant flop at Texas, and got a lot of blame before he was fired. But look at him now. HC at Miami. Searles has been good before, he will probably be good again. Bad fit at Miami.

whatever you say, stacy.

Seems like Stacy had poor line play when he coached at Texas, VT and here..., no?

LOL...when the HC has to tell you to move a Tackle to Guard (Donaldson) in the middle of a game (vs FSU), you may not be a "bad coach", but you're definitely not a good one.

****, it took injuries to the O-Line in 16' to actually put the right guys on the field.

Searels is a good ol' boy who was probably a decent coach at one point but hasn't been for a while.

Guys like Mack Brown don't always hire the best guy for the job, they hire based on relationships, loyalties, etc.

Why the heck did Sam Howell go there? He signed to a 67 year old and has to play behind a Stacy Searels offensive line.... yikes!

Doesn't Mack want to run more of a spread type of air raid attack? Maybe Searles was not the right fit for what Richt was asking him to do?
