Miami has positioned itself at the top for four-star offensive lineman Sean Tatum out of Port Saint Lucie (Fla.) John Carroll.

The Hurricanes were the first to offer, and no program has hosted Tatum more times than Miami.

“Miami is recruiting me so hard,” Tatum said. “They believed in me first, they’ve made me feel very important and they’re on top. It’s Miami in the lead, then Florida and Tennessee right behind them.”

If our main competition for an OL is Florida and Tennessee, this should be a layup.

The offensive line group was one of the best in the camp, and OG Sean Tatum (Fort Pierce) took home the MVP. He looked every bit of 6'3.5, 315 with a barrel chest, strong hands and good flexibility. Miami is battling Tennessee and Florida.

Tatum is another priority in the trenches for the Hurricanes.......Miami has the slight lead on the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 32.4 percent chance of landing him. Florida is in second place with a 22.8 percent chance of landing him. Both schools have already locked in official visits with Tatum and will look to keep him closer to home. Auburn and Tennessee are two other strong contenders here and have also secured official visit dates. He plans to make a decision this summer.

National programs continue to push for offensive lineman Sean Tatum, the No. 146 prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking. The four-star at Port Saint Lucie (Fla.) John Carroll has three schools at the top of his list, with one leading the way.

Miami was the first school to offer Tatum, and that early belief still carries weight.
“Miami is in the lead,” Tatum told Rivals. “They were the very first school to offer me. I’ve been down there a lot — more than anywhere else — and the staff really knows me. They develop offensive linemen, they make me feel special, and they believed in me first. I will be down there on March 28.”

The relationships with offensive line coach Alex Mirabal and head coach Mario Cristobal have been central to Miami’s positioning. “Coach Mirabal and Coach Cristobal are great offensive coaches. They’ve shown me their system, how I fit in it, and how I could be successful there. Miami is a great school to go to, especially for offensive linemen.”

Two SEC schools are not far behind the Hurricanes. “Florida and Tennessee are tied at No. 2,” he said.

Tatum has locked in official visits to Miami (May 29), Florida (June 5), Tennessee (June 12) and Auburn (June 19).
A battle between heavyweights is brewing and Tatum knows when he will reveal his decision.
“I am committing on July 18,” he said. “I don’t care about playing time as a freshman. It’s about being developed. I want to play for coaches who understand me and want the best for me. Being developed is everything.

“NIL is NIL. I don’t like the era of college football now. I’m getting an education and a scholarship — that’s NIL to me. I don’t care about the money. It’s about who can make me the best offensive lineman.”

Now, I know you can't trust anything these kids say these days...... but that sounds like as close to a Cane lock as there could be based on what was said in the article lol.
