I've been using UConn as the example of how the NCAA screws programs since this all started. Not only did they employ unethical investigative practices, they also created an apr punishment and retroactively applied it to Connecticut. This in effect punished them twice (the original punishment took away two scholarships), kept them out of the tournamnet this year, and as a result players left and transferred that most likely would have stayed there. They basically wrecked a team that would have been good enough to win the title this year.
The real catch in all of this? It is widely known that Mark Emmert and Jim Calhoun despised each other during Emmert's days at Connecticut. The guy finally got his chance for revenge and he took it, once again proving how slimy and biased the NCAA is.
