Right now, there’s competition for the two-deep across the board. Come next week, they are going to make choices and go into game prep mode. Some people will be off the travel squad, some designated scout team, etc. Things can change over a season, but his point seems clear.

I wasn’t even thinking about game and season logistics, my mind immediately went to pushing guys to transfer, for some reason

Strikers can play that weak side. And with the way most teams are mostly in 3+ wide all the time, it’s pretty rare to have 3 LBs on the field anyway. But yeah of course it would suck to lose Shaq or Pinckney.
