Thought he pretty much had no shot at making an impact in his freshman year given the depth and his size but the recent buzz has me reconsidering.

Need someone to take the top off the defense. Would’ve thought it was one of Moore, Jacobs, or Vaughn (RIP) but maybe it’s Spafford and his ridiculous speed despite his size.

Anyone who keeps getting brought up...Im not buying it. Smoke screen. Its the Freshman that they dont bring up that we know are being kept top secret. (Dunnigan and Briggs in my opinion are the ones they are keeping close to the vest) Mario gets asked all the time in interviews what freshman are doing well and he never answers. I think Mallory is doing well but we will see how much PT he gets.

Might have just pushed up the timeline, but Dmoney implied we would have seen Mallory this year regardless. No matter how crowded a room is, sometimes it's really hard to keep young players off the field when they're balling out

I brought up Toney and Fitz pretty much every show last August and predicted Toney would be our top receiver.

Spring can be deceptive but the guys who consistently perform in August usually make an impact.
 
Lyle is probably suspended first 4 games. Thats why Mallory is getting hype. If Mallory is actually good that is a bonus. Surprised Hellcat is getting zero buzz.

Since spring, I don't think Dmoney and Ahmonn have gone one episode without hyping up JJ Dunnigan lol. He's going to have a huge role on this team. Also, he brought up Mali and Fitz all the time

Hey hands up, dont shoot. Not taking a shot at you D$. Lol. I remember the Fitz hype from Fall camp last offseason. Just making an observation.

The hype he is been getting since Lyle news came out is a different level. Not saying he’s not good and it’s possible that he’s just taking advantage of the opportunity.
 
Podcast pretty strong today. Not football related per se but man has Ahmmon really developed as a podcaster. He’s gotten crazy good at waltzing a comment into a commercial and you don’t see it coming.

Ahmmon for Pete clearly the best canes 2026 upgrade and it’s not close. More knowledge and lost that gloomy dr negativo schtick of Pete.
 
As we saw last year..the 4th RB rarely plays. Lyle rarely got any burn last year after he got behind Pringle. Im happy that Mallory is showing flashes but I am definitely hoping the rotation is mainly Fletcher-Brown-Pringle. Bring in Mallory against FAMU to make sure the spread hits late in the game. LOL. Jk.

"Developed" is a great word to describe him. I wasnt that impressed at first but he has absolutely developed himself into a good podcastor and will only get better. Look forward to the shows and content this season!

They could have hyped Pringle instead,maybe Mallory is really good.
 
Obviously hasn’t been long since the scrimmage but good to not to hear any whispers of any new injuries from it. All that really matters at this point.

Don't you think Lyle's absence could have at least had something to do with the fact that he had ligament damage in his ankle? He had no business trying to come back last year.
