SCRIMMAGE 2

Need somebody to break down the Duke game rosier started in since it looks like he's the starter.

Let me ask you, why is the Duke game film more important than a couple scrimmages against a REAL defense?

Never said it was more important. Do you have film of the scrimmage the X and O's guy can breakdown? The Duke game is the only live film we have of rosier besides him handing it off vs famu.

A scrimmage isn't in front of millions of fans/national tv , with 100 % live bullets and on the road.

I'll always take way more from a live game than a scrimmage. Matter of fact everyone should.

We talking practice.

Is it? Last year, we ran a RPO. CMR also never really had a mobile QB in his career as a head coach.

Yes, I think the RPO is built for a mobile QB if used correctly. It's almost a pseudo-wildcat offense where you have 3 options every play depending on what the defense gives you.

I agree and hope for the same. I think the RPO with a QB who can't run (Kaaya) is not effective. It was frustrating not seeing Kaaya take off when he should have. We'll see.

A qb doesnt need to run it effectively if they understand the mismatch.

Furthermore, any offense is built for a running qb.

All it takes is for Rosier to see that no one is open and takes off for a 1st down. Sure, it wasnt designed..but its still back breaking tho

Literally the whole point of running RPO, to take advantage of mismatches.

I meant that the qb doesnt need to run effectively, as far as his athleticism or running ability.

Because there is no reason to think kaaya cant be successful in the RPO unless youre depending on his athleticism which you dont need to run the rpo effectively.

I'm all about rosier and think he's the best option this season, but while he played well in the duke game, he didn't win the game for us. Love that game, love the ending, but I wouldn't count that as a feather in his hat either

For obvious reasons people forget how that game went leading up to the return. He led two 4th quarter scoring drives. We were up 12 with 8+ minutes to go. The offense was only on the field for another 3 plays after the FG that put us up 12. Long TD drive for Duke. Coley goes conservative and we go 3 and out. Another long TD drive for Duke, then the return. He did more than enough.

Because there is no actual footage you can break down from highlights against our defense. The duke game is all we got, whether you think "it just Duke" or not.

We finally get the QB competition most of us wanted and of course there is a small contingency that knows better. May the best man not win? The "I told you so" crowd is chomping at the bit. Save your venom for FSU fans. The dumb looks on their faces after WR3 is something I'll never forget, they knew what the future held for them. MR or ES will get it done. We good. That I believe.

Go Canes!

A lot of skewed stats in this game and I believe a big part of that is the drop off from the 1s to the 2s at certain positions.

Huge drop off from the starting OL to the backups
Another huge drop off at TE
RB, we have Walton and Homer and that's it.

On D ,there is noticeable difference at CB when the starters come out and to a lesser extent at Safety.

Fact is, we are short 10+ scholarship players and its making a difference.

Hold the fuvk up. Did I just hear that clearly?

Richt @ 1:50 "Joe Jackson had 6 tackles, 5 of them were sacks"

Edit: 11 sacks total is what I counted

Lol. I was counting them as he rattled off the stats. And I got that too.

Guess we'd better get used to Rosier throwing at least 1 pick in every game.

He'll throw 4 vs FSU

You're the kind of guy that if you had to do a prison stretch, you'd head straight for the showers, bend over, grab your ankles, and wait.

LOL. These guys were so brainwashed on Rosier being a total trash bag that they won't let it go. They want so badly to be right about him that they look like pathetic bytches.

The RPO might actually be an effective play this year with Malik. He will force the defense to honor him this year, unlike Kaaya. That puts one less defender in the box allowing more holes for Walton. If he does keep it he has the athleticism to make a big play. Should be fun to watch.

At least Google what RPO is before porsting

Nice you left out the INT in Q3 and his 13 yard scamper into our endzone late Q3 and grounding giving Duke a safety and lead.
And his 5 carries for -12 yards

Listen. He's done good in camp. But the Duke game is waaaaaayyyyyy overblown

Say what yall want to say about Malik. But if he starts to slip up, N'kosi may be put in soon or later.
