SCRIMMAGE 2

FSU is going to need a stop to get the ball back and rosier is going to tuck it and pick up the first down, breaking their back and winning the game.

i agree

if evan is in it makes the game easy for fsu and they will have less ground to cover and have no respect for him

FSU struggles with mobile QB's. Rosier will have to use his legs if we have a chance. Not sure our Offense is built for that.

It is built for that.

Is it? Last year, we ran a RPO. CMR also never really had a mobile QB in his career as a head coach.

Shockley was quite mobile and Stafford could move in college.

Yes, I think the RPO is built for a mobile QB if used correctly. It's almost a pseudo-wildcat offense where you have 3 options every play depending on what the defense gives you.

I agree and hope for the same. I think the RPO with a QB who can't run (Kaaya) is not effective. It was frustrating not seeing Kaaya take off when he should have. We'll see.

A qb doesnt need to run it effectively if they understand the mismatch.

Furthermore, any offense is built for a running qb.

All it takes is for Rosier to see that no one is open and takes off for a 1st down. Sure, it wasnt designed..but its still back breaking tho

Literally the whole point of running RPO, to take advantage of mismatches.

Just get us an offense that can consistently(this being the key word) that can score 24-28 pts a game, with this defense unit, this can be a big season.

If Rosier is the guy, than so be it....

I think we will have a 31-35 pts per game offense, with Rosier running it. He brings a dimension that's going to be tough to defend. He has a confident arm and he throws a great deep ball, and he can make plays with his feet.

Richt needs to do 1s vs 1s to really see what we have on offense. Going against the 2nd team is definetly a drop off.

I can't wait for this to happen several times during the season. It will not only extend drives but the binary effect is keeping our front seven of axe murderers rested and fresh.

Go Canes!

As long as Richt puts Harley or THomas in a formation where blocking is not required, I have no concerns running with these guys if Braxton, Ahmmon or Mullins come out. WR is a position where raw athleticism (combined with good hands) trumps everything else, and true Freshmen have the best chance at having the most immediate positive impact. That's not the case for Evidence, as he needs S&C to use his body as a weapon. But the smurfs can go the moment they get the routes and playbook down.

I don't think Mullins will end up ahead of Harley or JT.

Suprised nobody freaking out about secondary. Seem like alot of significant gains (avg per catch) given up. But who knows who it was against or the situation.... So whatever.

It was presumably against the 2s.

One thing that Diaz said on SiriusXM yesterday was (I'm paraphrasing) the defense can be great, but it depends on an unknown - the CBs. Until real games, we don't know what we have. He had some positive things to say about Delaney.

He also told a story about last year. Early on, the CBs (he named Corn) weren't great tacklers. But during one of the practices, Jaquan laid someone out hard and set the tone. From that moment on, it became a competition to see who can get the next big hit.

Listening to Manny furthered my impression that Dean is a poor tackler. I think we will see Delaney and Young, with Bandy at nickel.

Dean is 6'2" running a 4.3 he's going to play. I wouldn't mind seeing Malek split reps with him on the outside and Bandy at Nickel.

Frustrating to not have a goal line/short yardage option. May turn out to be our Achilles heel...

so that's a frustrating issue to you???? lmaoo man up with all this fake *** drama smh

Decaf dude...it's a discussion. Soft line + stable of scat backs + one TE + no fullback = "strategery" required in short yardage situations.

Krazy seems like a budding Cuck

I trust CMR's judgement and support whoever he thinks gives us the best chance to win. But contrary to what many people think in this thread, Evan is more athletic than Malik

Without being too rah-rah, at the least, he has a clean slate and license to run the offense as he sees fit. The roster will be almost completely turned over come January 2018.

Can you elaborate Austin?

I've heard this from Pete and Austin before. Joe Jackson made the comment about staying home on read plays because N'Kosi and Malik were guys who would hurt you with their legs if they caught you leaning. He pointed to those two specifically. Rosier was a high 4.6 guy coming out of high school and when you watch the footage of QBs rolling out and throwing, Rosier looks the smoothest. I'm wondering how Evan's athleticism shows itself.

Homer a threat.....

Really glad to see Homer taking that next step. We already know what Walton brings to the table. Nice to see that Homer can be a game breaker, too.

Pete has said the same before.

I wouldn't doubt it, but most of us haven't seen Evan play yet----many have seen Malik in a real game, so we/I and going off what I have seen.
