Screen Pass Adjustments

I remember this vividly. The ENTIRE DL just immediately stopped and the entire defense murdered.
I don't know how to post the video, but I believe this play happened at 1:01 minute left in the 2nd qtr. We had just scored to go up 31-0. Ball State got the ball and started driving on us. Had 3 successful passing plays to start that drive, one of them being a screen to their rb to. They got to midfield and had couple incompletions. Tried to go back to a screen which had been successful all game for them so far. The entire defense was ready for the play. Thing of beauty.

I’m sure like the rest of you, I let out a few “ugghhh” when Ball St was catching us early on those screen passes

It was a good strategy, use our aggressiveness against us etc

Fast forward to the one play in particular (I’ll have to go find it) I think Ball St was trying to hit a tunnel screen or something along those lines and every **** player on our defense stopped and waited for it

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen 11 guys stop and wait for a screen like that in any game I’ve ever watched

Those days of getting beat like a drum on the same play over and over again are dead
Enjoy Jason Taylor while we have him.

If that's the play I noticed last night, it was a beaut. Whole D read it and collapsed on the ball carrier. Coaching has been pretty good so far this season. On both sides.

Oh you’re trying to get me to bench on a Sunday?

I saw a few people mention it but that stretch where the refs tried to **** us over and we held serve was my favorite

Roughing the passer? No fumble? No problem

Ball St is a trash team for sure but things like that still stand out to me
You know what days are good for benching? All

I remember that ref stench. Miss one call? Eh ok. Two? GTFOH. I was at home so I just started doing push ups…with my wife and kids on my back.
