I'm not making a judgment on either yet but all this hype regarding Scott Frost surrrrrre sounds very similar to the hype that surrounded Tom Herman. Young innovative guy that just performed a "miracle" job at a lesser school that'll be an instant difference-maker at your "blue blood" powerhouse school. Is Texas even bowl eligible this year?

As for UiF specifically, Frost would be their 3rd straight "up and comer" hire. At what point must you admit that no legit established coach wants your second-rate job? And it ain't because they're afraid of competing in the mighty SEC.

Careful, that board's CloSECt Cases will quickly tell you that most coaches aren't cut out for the might SE-Pee.

That's their default excuse. Already using it against Kelly. He was afraid to "compete every week". Yeahhhhh. Ooooookay.

A multi-million dollar raise to coach your alma mater would be tough to turn down, but Frost should stay put. UCF has UNC, Pitt, GaTech, and Stanford all on the schedule the next few seasons. Build up the program. Get UF, FSU, and Miami on the schedule. Show some loyalty to the people that hired you.

Considering the coaching turnover in that conference since Saban started knocking heads, it would seem it is a true statement. They are basically all big state schools minus Vanderbilt and just about all of them have a rabid fanbase that thinks they should be competing for MNC's.

They won’t be loyal to him if he looses 7 next year. Florida job is a coach killer - both Stevie and Urban quit bc if the expectations.

UCF is going to fire Frost if he loses 7 games next season? You think he’ll lose 7 games in 2018?

There are no sure things when you hire an up and coming young coach. But Herman and Frost both appear promising. I'd rather take a shot with Frost than go with a retread like Charlie Strong.

Lol you are questioning whether or not Tom Herman gonna be successful at UT? Lay off the crack pipe.

It has more to do with putrid coaching hires than some magical and overwhelming level of competition.

The SEC schools, in pursuit of Saban, have made it easier on him with ingenious hires such as Bieliema, Jones, Orgeron, Mcelwain, and the list goes on.

Compare that to the ACC which has better coaches having added Richt, Fuente, Mendenhall in the last 24 months. Any of these guys is better than the aforementioned SEC trash pile.

Frost is going to land at Nebraska. No idea what the **** UF is going to do. Maybe go the Dan Mullen route?

You automatically and definitively assuming he will be based on zero evidence so far would suggest the use of bath salts. And I clearly said I'm not judging him yet but I'd bet you Jaromir Jagr's screen name that Texas fans expected a better season this year.

Mendenhall as some example of a coaching win for the ACC? Georgia is doing pretty good with the guy who replaced our current coach. Fuente, did well his first year and has had a decent second year.

The SEC has made some bad hires, but every conference does.

The gaytors will most likely hire the Memphis coach , if Frost doesn’t work out..... They’re looking for a high power offense.
