Say what you want, we aren’t that far off from Clemson...

38-3 was more then just a Rosier problem. We looked like we didn't belong on the same field with Clemson on every phase and level. The Clemson's other QB that wasn't that good last year gave us a new *** hole. Our defense got it teeth kicked in.. our O-line got their teeth kicked in.. **** we wouldn't even shutdown UNC basic run game.. Perry is a better QB then Rosier IMO but he isn't a game changer.

Jeff Thomas was a freshman, Cager was just getting back to being a Cager....we were without our starting RB, Tight end and best receiver. It was alot more than rosier's inaccuracy that caused that *** whooping. Now we have an accurate QB, Thomas and Cager beasting with depth behind them, a star TE and two starting rbs with talent behind them. Different team..

Shiny toys on offense explains why they carved up the defense like swiss cheese?

I’m really excited about Perry and his future but I wouldn’t call him accurate yet. We don’t know how he will look against good comp. I’m hoping for the best but our OL will do him no favors against the Clemson DL. Also we are suspect against the run.

Clemson's D-line took over the game from what I remember.

OK...

They have more talent, but their secondary is suspect. They'd be going against our WR corps, which is elite.

With Kosi taking snaps in shotgun formation 90% of the time like we've been doing, and if we can somehow slow down their running game, it would be a lot closer than last year.

Miami needs quality depth, which is getting better. They also need to learn how to win bigger games way from home. I think the change at QB will help, since Perry can make them pay for crowding the box to take away the run more consistently than Rosier.

We are not far off at all... last year we were but good programs can catch up fast. Now that we have the right QB and we have a DLine as dominant as theirs we can beat them this year.

Every team has weaknesses. Clemson is no different than any other team out there.

The million dollar question is can we take advantage of their weaknesses?
I like our chances with their QB situation but Dabo exploited our weaknesses very well last season.

Ya'll must have forgot what LSU did to us.

I remember giving them that game... they didn’t dominate us we beat ourselves. Bandy got ejected, NKosi was suspended.

If NKosi was the qb we win by two TDs. Also LSU is a better team than Clemson with Lawrence at QB.

We have seen good teams lose opening games before and look like totally different teams by the end of the season.

Remember O$U lost to a bad Hokie team in 2014 but still found a way to look good at the end of the season. That is one of many examples.

Sure.

But its not the end of the season. Y'all underestimate - every time, like clockwork - the difference a legitimate DL makes on a team.

Clemson lost to Syracuse last year and still gave us the hands in the ACC Championship.

I'm not saying we're not better than last year or we won't be better, but this "we're not far off!" narrative is silly. We're a class below.

16 point loss In a “neutral” site game in Texas where we out gained LSU, had more 3rd down conversions with malik at qb and the defense being put in bad field position all day?

6 backups in the back 7 in when LSU broke that long run.

The barrage of penalties didn’t help at all either
Lot of sh*t just didn’t go our way that game

As far as I see It everyteam is a class below bama. There aren’t any elite teams this year outside of them

Silly to think that we are not far off? Especially considering the circumstances and context?
Maybe to say we can beat Clemson tomorrow would be silly but to say we are not far off can be valid.

I do agree that we have to wait and see how this team develops before we can say with certainty but you can say that about most college football theories in Septemeber.

43% to 56% and 56% to 65% completion pct. thats a huge difference in a game. makes him our game changer.
