But I was blown away by their hospitality. After the win, I had 5 aggies walk up to me, shake my hand, tell me congratulations, thanked me for coming, said they hoped I enjoyed coming to Aggieland, and go win the natty. Pretty solid group of people.

Now let’s go beat those ****ers from Ohio.

They have my respect for sure. Not many fanbases would clap for an injured player who just destroyed their game-tying touchdown at the end of the game.

Not beat Down just been mid for decades and been little brother to Texas. It’s why they just out of habit put horns down it’s more about being better than Texas at anything at times than the final result

Much the same was said when we played Texas A&M last time. Clemson, always a good experience there as well. Back in the day, Nebraska fans were elite on the good people scale. They knew they were coming for a beat down, but still loved their team enough to show up.

a&m was built on blue collar texans from small towns and the working class from the cities where you wave and say hi to anyone you pass on the street without thinking they’re ******* with you or trying to start a fight. lots of down-home family value types created their culture that has stuck around, similarly to nebraska and iowa. then they took that culture, pumped it with steroids, and created a cult that is nice to everyone but longhorns fans. i ******* love the aggies from my two stints in houston. can’t ask for nicer people. plus you’d be hard pressed to find a more dedicated fanbase considering they haven’t won a title since fdr’s second term.

Went to the game a few years ago - wearing my S Taylor jersey
- Guy comes up to me and says, "come over to my truck?"
- Says he picks one away fan every game to have a beers with
- And we did just that

When they were in a Miami a few years ago and lost, all the fans I interacted with were all class acts. My wife brings it up to this day.
