bingoThis could easily be my narrative (mostly), but after that fake OSU win and their free natty, the way this program fell apart, it left me asking “How could this be? How could this ever be?” I had witnessed the rise since Schnelly, I took it for granted the U was invincible. But I count my blessings I’m here to witness the resurrection. This program is in the process of rising from the dead right before our eyes. I’m not taking anything for granted this time, because I respect the game, but I’m going to enjoy our team compete for the foreseeable future. I am truly fortunate. Let’s win tomorrow! GO CANES!!!
So true"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."

Great post! Back in January of 2003 when we were literally robbed of the National Title by that despicable maggot Terry Porter I was furious and crushed at the same time. However I thought we would be back the year after and if not then sometime soon. I was so wrong. I had just turned 35 back then. We'll, here I am at 58 years old witnessing this with everyone here. Enjoy this! Stop and savor it. Stop and smell the roses because tomorrow is never promised. I understand that the situation the program is currently in isight years better than the state the program was in 2002-2003. Yes we were winning but we were on our way down and most of us didn't even realize it. Coach Cristobal and staff have us in a great situation and the program is literally just beginning it's ascent. For the first time maybe ever, the university president, the AD and the head football coach are all on the same page and that page is about being fully committed to winning, financially and in every other way possible. We will very likely have more talented teams in the near future but that doesn't guarantee anything. As someone said, this new playoff format is a gauntlet and it's very difficult to get to the Championship game even as a high seed. So enjoy this team while you can. They are a special group of young men who will be spoken of for decades to come. Now we have one more game. The National Championship game where we are 8.5 point underdogs. Let's bring #6 home by defending our home field!Well said. I just turned 41 two weeks ago. It’s been a long long road of watching Canes games. I’ve watched them all. I sat through all the disgusting loses, the ups, the downs, the sanctions, the cloud, that rat Nevin, remember the Edge game agaisnt UCLA, the fiesta bowl sadness, watching Alabama beat Miami when I was 7 and didn’t really understand while I was watching with my family, growing up in Alabama listening to tide fans for most of my twenties say how Miami was dead.
As I lay here sick on my couch and not going to the game I said I would never miss if it ever came a possibility, I can’t describe how the last few months have felt. Cherish every minute of all of it cause it’s not guaranteed.
I hope and think Miami will be regulars in the playoffs but it’s harder than ever now to win. The multiple game playoffs are a real gauntlet unlike anything schools back in the day had to face. If Miami closes this it out will be one of the most magical runs ever and be a 30 for 30 part 3, no doubt!
Let’s ******* go!!!!!!
