CanesInSight is partnering with Scrap City to support families with autism and related disabilities. Josh Sarnoff, CanesInSight member and the owner of Scrap City, is stepping up huge for this community and organizing a day of fun and Canes fandom to raise money for CARD, the University of Miami's Center for Autism and Related Disabilities.
All proceeds go to CARD. I'll be there to answer Canes questions, there's carnival rides, a DJ, food truck and all kinds of family entertainment. We may even have a few surprises. It's a cool opportunity to CanesInSight community to come together as we gear up for the season.
CARD is personal to me because my wife works there and it overlooks Greentree. But the real reason it matters is because it's a lifeline for so many South Florida families. CARD provides consultation and support services to families of individuals with autism at no-cost to them. This includes facilitating access to education, finding appropriate therapy, navigating legal issues, and more. CARD serves over 20K families in South Florida.
