Save N'Kosi's Mind By.....

Yep. And it'd be very effing Al Golden of him.

You guys seriously think this? I get that lots of things are popular right now, but I still find it hard to believe that Richt is fine losing as long as he has cover.

Look, the guy is fcking up right now, but I think it’s crazy to assume he’s cool with that as long as he has somebody to blame. I would say he’s doing what he honestly thinks is best, it’s just that he’s wrong sometimes.

I think there’s a tendency to ascribe all kinds of fakes up thoughts to coaches when they don’t do what we want. Like the only way they aren’t thinking what we are is that they’re just in it for the money, or they don’t really care about winning or something. I think there are more likely reasons for what Richt is doing.

jarren gets to start regardless

if the practice went as reports went, kosi has serious maturity issues

let's see what jarren has got make it happen

You guys decide how you wanna look at this but today malik & nkosi both ran with the 1s. That should be expected. What may peak some interest us JARREN ran with the twos... maybe just maybe the obvious is finally settling in. One thing to also point out is everyone knows I'm not a jon richt fan as a qb coach. However the decision to pull nkosi had zero to do with him. He actually fought cmr to keep nkosi in because as most here feel it served zero purpose to pull him if hes the starter moving forward.[/
Yes He is...He was fresh off a 5 TD game before Richt pulled that stunt in the FIU game.

Was not against pullin N’Kosi, but Rosier is not better. Rosier is awful.

I have felt all along that Jarren is our only legit shot at a topflite college quarterback. I think the sooner he gets his shot the better off we are. Like CMR said "he tends to hit what he throws at". Coach him to take what they give him and give him his shot.

I should have been more clear. I don't think Rick would actively pursue this as a strategy to protect himself but the end result of having what would appear as an "excuse" would be the same.

I do think Alfredo would actually proactively and knowingly do it to cover his own fat ***. I know we're all down on Rick right now but I still hold him in a different stratosphere personally and professionally as Golden.

Perry looked like a freshman making his first road start. He also looked like a freshman making his first start in a rivalry game against FSU too but he settled down in the second half. He should have been given the chance to figure things out against UVA.

I think that's all any of us are saying.

QB doesn't matter with our route tree. Richt kept calling plays into double coverage and when we ran the ball, our OL was getting blown up. Virginia called a great game defensively, but how much of that was them versus the predictability of our offense is anyone's guess.

Perry, being the young player he is, seems to know the pressure of the position here and the the expectations that come with it. He seemed to really try to make things happen that weren't there and got inside his head quite a bit IMHO. The worst spot you can put an inexperienced QB in is the one he was in this last weekend. He had to make something happen, but wasn't put into a position to do so by his playcaller. It is what it is, but he'll be shot before long if they continue this trend.

He wasn't that much better in the 2nd half. He basically made 2 throws that 2nd half, granted they were massive throws but that's all he did. Have to thank the defense for FSU

Also he made 2 excellent TD throws in the red zone. Remember how bad we used to be in the red zone?

Why? He's stunk it up since the 2nd half of UNC.

He threw three passes in the 2nd half of UNC. He threw 4 touchdowns and led a 20 point comeback win against FSU the following week. Despite getting zero protection and dealing with multiple drops.

I didn't agree with pulling Perry for the entire game............but if Perry is so fragile that his entire confidence is now shot because he got benched a game, then he sucks and we don't need him anyway. I doubt that's the case, though. He'll be OK, we just need to play him.

I think Rosier stays on the bench (or should) with Williams. Williams needs to keep marinating for Spring's QB competition when he goes up against Perry. If we get what everyone is asking for (Williams start) we WILL lose Perry. It's too late for him to transfer but for a player that has issues keeping his eye on the prize: maturity, focus, overcoming his 'this job is my destiny' complex (which I'm sure wasn't helped by the fact that all of us here keep talking/thinking about it, me included) a Williams promotion would do more damage than a Rosier promotion.

I agree that this is what we wanted in the Fall: Ride with Perry and if we have a 9-3 season because he's learning...so be it because the ceiling is unknown. Richt took out our knees by pulling him and going back to his ex (rosier) who he knows is no good for him because at least he knows what he's got.

Are things that bad behind the scenes with Perry that Richt has to go back to Rosier? What are we missing?

We do not have a decent qb on roster, including Jarren. We have not had a very good college qb on team since Dorsey. It is obvious that other colleges are out recruiting us for best high school QBs. We could have landed Bridgewater but when Shannon was fired, he dumped us. Besides him all we have had are average QBs.
