Save N'Kosi's Mind By.....

I'm just disappointed they had N'Kosi on such a short leash.

Like I said, Rick really seems to be a prisoner of the moment with the QBs when he thinks the season is potentially on the line. Remember him freaking during the Pitt debacle last year and benching Rosier?

Agreed but I'm beginning to believe that Rick is constantly a prisoner of the moment in trying to "save" the season when he panics in regard to ****ty QB play. Can absolutely see him just rotating in and out Perry and Rosier as we try to skate by the remaining less than stellar opponents on our schedule. I fear it'll take both of those guys looking like absolute trash simultaneously before Williams takes a meaningful snap. Especially when my "solution" here is to actually give Williams a start.
You mean like against virginia?

I don't see him using Williams unless one of the other two get injured. Williams will get his chance in the spring. I think if one of the other is head and shoulders above the other, the loser will bolt. Just today's college football landscape.

Which is a complete disservice to Williams who can get snaps in 4 games and have no different status but more experience. There's no way the field is fair come spring if Williams doesn't get live action. You won't learn anything. Really hope CMR and the staff use him this season

Two different scenarios, I believe. The Rosier benching last year seemed like desperation for some type of spark. It was obvious that Evan was terrible, even when compared to Rosier but I think Richt panicked and tried to do something just to shake things up. The Perry benching reeked of fear. Richt seems to err on the side of caution, maybe more often than he should and as soon as he saw those sloppy interceptions, he went right back to the player he was more comfortable with. I'm not exactly sure why as Rosier has shown a propensity for interceptions too. It's not like he's some super safe game manager.

HC is keeping a mulligan in his back pocket.

He can use Williams being a first year starter as his excuse next season.

We called plays that we practiced all week, I know that. We called plays that we had faith in. We called plays that we thought we give us the best chance in all situations. We called plays where we took shots. We called plays just trying to run the ball — we had inside zone, outside zone, we ran counter.

“We ran things we thought would succeed and they didn’t. And why they didn’t succeed, we’ll see. Most of the time when you look at the tape it’s a matter of somebody or a couple of guys not getting their job done, normally.

“Are there some plays that we could call that would give us a better chance? I’m certain of that, but we call plays that we worked hard on, believed in and have had success over the last 30 years, so I feel pretty good about them going in
I haven't complained much about HC because I still can't even process what happened in that last game, but I'll be SHOCKED if this doesn't become prophecy.

That's what makes you ask the question of what the fvck is he doing? Richt has been a head coach for almost two decades and is seemingly having panic attacks on the sidelines. He wants to be OC, play caller, QB coach, then he needs to find one guy, stick with him and design a gameplan that puts him in the best position to succeed.

Has a starter for next game been named?

If Richt has any sense, he will name Perry starter for BC immediately and quell all the unrest and speculation...

..that will help focus the team back on to the BC game, instead of all these issues.

No doubt. I fully expect to hear the name Malik Rosier come out of his mouth though..... for the remainder of the season. That is what I'm banking on. "He's been in these battles, he knows what to expect and what to look for".

That exactly is the problem with the HC being the playcaller.... he has no time to assess the situation in between getting the next play out to the field.

If he wasn't busy trying to call the next live play, he could have settled Perry down and calmed the team down no matter how bad the situation looked.

That is what a coach of his experience should be doing.... not worry about what the next play is

He can't....he's busy conjuring up 2 more plays......

Williams is the only answer now. Move on from Kenny Kelly to Ken Dorsey, it worked before time to do it again!

You guys decide how you wanna look at this but today malik & nkosi both ran with the 1s. That should be expected. What may peak some interest us JARREN ran with the twos... maybe just maybe the obvious is finally settling in. One thing to also point out is everyone knows I'm not a jon richt fan as a qb coach. However the decision to pull nkosi had zero to do with him. He actually fought cmr to keep nkosi in because as most here feel it served zero purpose to pull him if hes the starter moving forward.

Good news is Rick can be impulsive. He actually started on a whim his 3rd stringer, a heaping pile of stool called Faton Bauta, against his biggest rival UF a few years ago. Of course, Bauta got mangled and UbaGA blown out, so I hope that doesn’t scare Rick off from playing Williams.

In August, most on this board were happy with Perry being the starter and the probable 9-3 season to go with it.
Some even predicted an unforeseen shet-show in a winnable game.

Well, we got it.

I want to believe we have a 2016 type finish in us.
In 10 days we'll see if Richt has it in him.

I say give Jarren some PT in one of these away games, regardless of score.
4th quarter hand-offs in the comfy confines of Hard rock does nothing.
