Sanders Tears

any GM knows if he drafts Shadeur, that means 3-4 years of Deion Sanders being a huge distraction. He will constantly be telling the media his opinion, and it will be interpreted as being what Shadeur is thinking about the team (even if it isn’t). Shadeur simply isn’t talented enough to be worth that headache. Now the problem is compounded. If Shadeur gets picked in late 2nd or worse, he probably won’t be a starter, which means Deion will be chirping nonstop that his son wants out to a place where he can start. Someone will probably take a chance but I wouldn’t if I was a GM.

Funny how Baker went from written off failure at Cleveland and Charlotte to beloved in Tampa with some of the best QB stats in the league last year.
I picked him up as a late round backup in my fantasy league last year and ended up starting him over Mahomes half the season.
If not for Godwins injury, he might have ended up the best QB statistically in the league.

As a Browns fan, more like infuriating. Baker played almost the entire 2021 season injured and should have just had surgery, but he kept playing through the injuries only for the Browns to ***** him and the fans over.

More like infuriating as a Browns fan...Bake played almost the entire 2021 season injured and the Browns screwed him over by making the worst trade in NFL history for the predator. I'm a big fan of Baker

Even the talentless hack Adam Schefter (his face a slurry of cumstains and Botox injection marks) was a relief compared to those three clowns. Whoever directed the ESPN coverage should submit their résumé to North Korean state media.

Not much of a draft guy anymore but old and used to Boomer (retied) Mort (RIP), and even Mel could be edgy, so started with them before 8 PM...Sal Pal only one I knew and once I heard that whiney Mike Greenie voice, off the NFL Network (now with no Mike "listen to me talk" Mayock). Glad I did.

I disagree for the same reason I understand why someone would swing on Anthony Richardson. And I think Richardson was a worse passer than Milroe, and never actually ran the ball for all that much success, and just lacked experience altogether. Milroe I think has a much better odds of actually being good than Richardson. But at the end of the day Richardson was basically built in a lab so I understand the shot.

It is mostly a waste of time to try to get QBs who don't actually excel and stand out at something and make them into franchise QBs. If you watch Milroe, he genuinely has some wow moments and a pretty high ceiling.

At the end of the day either you have an elite OC and scheme and you can win with a Purdy. Or you better just go all in on the big time potential. There is no benefit to drafting a safe QB in round 2 or later and wasting 3 yrs trying to hope he'll be something he doesn't have the potential to be, when you can take the big swing on the QB who you know has the potential and you just hope the ticket cashes.

Like the goal should be to get a top 10 QB, not just a starter that you likely move off of in 2-3 years. Milroe probably will fail, but I'd rather take the risk on him in round 2/3/4 than Shadeur in round 2. And I do think technically Shader is a better QB. It's just not how I'd draft at that spot ...

I have a lot of empathy for Marinovich. He wasn’t raised right. His dad completely ****ed him over. No one should be surprised he completely rebelled once he got away from his father.

If I recall correctly, he was connected to Miami before deciding to stay home at USC. Or at least he was wearing a lot of Miami gear in high school. Imagine him as a Cane, the career he might’ve had, and the temptations he would’ve had! He redshirted in 1988 at USC and then started in 89 and 90. So technically he could’ve been Miami’s starting quarterback instead of Craig Erickson.

I’m glad we had Erickson instead. Palm Beach county kid, bled orange and green and fit Miami’s swagger. Not to mention, won a natty over Bama.
 
Personally, I think he is a mediocre talent when talking about an NFL QB. He has a .05% chance of being an NFL QB. The Sanders family is just embarrassing in everything they do. He is Undraftable IMO

I’m not wishing we had Marinovich over Erickson. The temptations in South Florida might have resulted in a quick implosion and quickly off the team. Dennis Erickson being such a disciplinarian (#sarcasm). Or, perhaps the team would’ve kept Marinovich in line and provided leadership he may not have when he was in Southern Cal.

Erickson is slept on a bit in Miami’s quarterback legacy. He was a **** of a college quarterback and had a decent-brief NFL career with the Bucs.

They’ve chosen “personality” over substance. I’d prefer it to be regular moderator and then Kiper and another guy just talking prospects, fit, etc. Too many annoying and uneducated voices on set.
