I also think that Bell is a better RT then LT, more of a run blocker then pass pro, but we're certainly not moving Cici.

Cantwell is another RT type.
If they throw money at Bell, I think the move has to be get Pepe here (so many variables working here) and let him compete with who we have.

Bell is still just not agile enough it seems and it seemed like most of the immediate pressures on Beck came over there…though I have no idea how he graded out.

It’s paid off-He’s a key cog on the OL-

I wish him continued success-Proud of him!
 
Not concerned about next year yet. It's good to have a natural tackle getting experience inside and be ready for next season. Also if they see someone in the portal that's better than what we have they will get them.

OL is a developmental position, even 5 stars need to develop especially when they come from smaller high schools. Remember Arthur Brown, same deal as Samson and he ended up making it to the NFL.

I'm in the position that we bring in the top tackle in the portal this year. Im standing on that one a guy looking to go int he first three rounds on the outside come on down. This class i dont think we need to bring in a center so spend those funds on a sure fire tackle.

Disagree. Okunlola or McCoy should have the OT job locked down, and Cantwell is coming in to start, even if he takes some lumps to begin with…

Also if Bell plays the rest of the season like this game he returns.

Mario isnt turning down a beast ol int he portal.

Also the second sentence iw anted someone else to say it before i do ...But i still think he leaves because he didnt come here to play school...and hes not gonna get any smaller...if dude remains healthy he should be a mid rounder atleast unless we would pay him mid round type money to stay...but i doubt it

I completely agree. We open next season on the road at SC too. Dylan Stewart will be on everyone's short list to go #1 overall. Let's not even fck around with trying to mix and match with what we have.

Agreed.
Go get an LT, a good one. We have Dylan Stewart game 1 in 12 months. Create a competition with portal OT, McCoy, Cantwell, and Okunlola for the OT spots while knowing Okunlola and McCoy can play inside as well. I really liked what I saw from Samson on Sunday though, that might be his spot.
 
Starting lineup Bell-Samson-Brockemeyer-Coop-Mauigoa. Not bad at all. McCoy, Rodriguez, Kinsler as the next 3 off the bench?

usc got other too...we all know what stewart can do but they have recruited pretty good on dl.

Yup go get a veteran portal tackle n have spring competition.

Just off the top of my head, Mekhi Becton is at least 6'7 and north of 350 pounds. His career was actually salvaged once people realized his skill set was best suited inside. It's not unprecedented and there's no way there aren't other examples I'm just not thinking of offhand.

Bell is more of kick your *** in a phonebooth type of lineman. He struggles with quickness off the edge. Power is not his issue and that trait is usually better suited inside.

Add to that, this system doesn't really use wide zones or pull a ton. We run a ton of duo and inside zone.

Yeah....I 100% disagree with you.
