Hopeuly this kid goes first round when he leaves . He stuck around and was willing to put in the work when most would have transferred . He will be a good example of Mario’s and staff development process . Maybe
a few more stick around and wait to get developed by the best ol coaches in college

Yea he may be a top G in next years draft he was that good. I know this has no relation to this thread and OT asf but so excited to see Omar at N. He will be just as good as Scott imo, he looked incredible in the clips I saw at BC and in the spring game. What a huge get that is.

Scott was special. The difference is that Scott could hold up in coverage, Thorton has a history of having lapses there. **** BC fans said he would make mistakes in the run game by going for kill shots. I think Thorton is a very good player and will contribute here but I don’t think he will be as good as Scott.

His coverage grades leave alot to be desired..

In coverage nah but in run fits and blitzes he will be on par but he will miss tackles if he keeps going for the kill, I think there was a highlight of that in the spring game but his teammates bailed him out.

He was tied for second on his team in missed tackles as well and he played 40 less snaps than #1 and 100 snaps than the guy he was tied with. Now again, this kid is a very good player but I think you maybe setting up yourself for disappointment if you believe he will be just like Scott.

The defense is designed to clean up missed tackles. Thats what’s so dope about Heatherman, he has so many answers in this defense. We are truly blessed to have him

Then that boy better wrap up, I had low expectations for Scott and he balled

If it’s true about his IQ/instincts he has the opportunity in Heatherman’s D learn and soak up a pro style defense and be better. He was at BC ffs. But he has to be open to listen and learn. We will see. But as good as Scott? Dream come true, but not holding my breath 🙌🏽
