Samson move him to guard

Our QB is on pace to potentially win the Heisman Trophy (he's 2nd on the odds board right now) and has a real shot to be in the conversation for the best season in the history of the sport, so I'm with you guys, I think switching up his backside protection and opening him up to taking a helmet directly to the center of the spine is a **** of an idea. I say go for it.

This is the second worst line that Mario’s had here. After 2022 of course. Honestly this year is a failure considering they doubled down on their recruits. And it hasn’t paid off. Like they promised a shot to multiple guys last year for this season.

Reality is if Ryan rod was good he wouldn’t have been portaled over 3 years in a row. SJ isn’t a guard. Maybe if he’s a center the line is better. Staff probably assumed Cantwell would be one of the guards. Who knows.

That is the problem Mario and Alex are not rotating Tackle in the game. Try big ben on the outside and Samson at guard. Not sure why they haven't tried. Pitt is a good DLine, but Notre Dame will kill Mensah. All the teams will see how bad they look.

It’s not happening bro. We have to work around with the line we have. Dawson did an excellent job of spreading out Pitt and using uptempo.

Pitt has a solid D. They aren’t ND but if BYU can score on ND so can we.

If the spread isn’t working you have to bring Lofton in and use Fletcher. Go more Max protect. Dawson is going to have to get creative.

We have enough! Don’t be afraid.

Theyre paying Cantwell a lot of money, if anything they'd be inclined to throw him out there too early vs the contrary.

This team looks championship minus O-line and DB (without OJ/Antoine). If Cantwell were ready to be a competent tackle I dont think you roll with a mid o line just to appease a player who isnt going to portal midseason anyway.

I think he's a raw tackle who was extremely hard to eval due to competition and when in camps struggled with pass pro. In the little we've seen from him his feet seem just ok and he plays extremely high. It might be a hard pill to swallow but theres a great chance he's completely unplayable right now against legit competition and wont be for a while.

Sad but true. We should have portaled a starter on OL but we have what we have. I was really hoping Meriweather would step up but I guess not. Dawson and Mensah are going to have to continue to cook with HIM (Mali) and the D needs to step up.
 
Samson gotta be hurt or something. Idk why he’s not throwing his punches anymore and letting people get up on him or bend around him on the speed rush.

I guess you can say there was an uptick in competition from Clemson on, but, man, he looks like a different player out there rn.

If he gets more to form, that will go a loooong way.
