This is what inexperience looks like guys. There is no easy solution other than let them work through it.
It’s not like they are getting physically beat man on man. They are struggling with pre-snap communication and passing off stunts. That’s going to get better with experience.
It’s on film. Defenses are going to hammer it until Miami stops it consistently. In the meantime, Dawson showed you the adjustment… if the defense wants to condense and confuse the interior, he’ll take the numbers outside with the WR screen game all day long.
Edit to add: as a reference point, Cici and Anez had about 2,000 snaps next to each other going into last year. Brockermeyer ~1,000 at Bama/TCU. McCoy ~800 snaps at guard. Bell was the outlier < 200 snaps.
Then they played several hundred additional snaps together as a unit before becoming the dominant force we remember in the playoffs.
And they had a QB who had basically quickest time to throw in the country helping.
