Business is business & if Texas had the best offer & you can compartmentalize the other stuff, if it actually even mattered to you in the 1st place, you make that move.

Look, I would love to tell all of you if my son had been offered a full scholarship to UT (forget about NIL), that we would have turned it down. But I would be lying. It’s important to know history, but as you note, we would also be foolish to be trapped in the past with our present day actions and decision making.
I don’t blame any person who makes a decision that is in the best interest of themself or their family. I don’t deride anyone for choosing to attend Bama or UGA, or even Ole Miss, though the name makes me cringe, if they feel it is in their best interest.

But all the same, we should know history.
