Sam Hartman to the portal

Wake Forest is a prime example of a program that will find it tough to compete consistently in todays landscape. They’ll never max out NIL money and they’re not a brand name, so the high caliber players they do get will always leave for bigger opportunities.
We've had a tough time competing for nearly 20 years. Wake Forest has played in 2 ACC Championship Games vs our 1, and they won the ACC in 2006. Our program has been **** for nearly 2 decades, but there's at least reasons for optimism now

ND was incredibly limited with Pyne last year, and are sitting at 10-2 if they got half decent QB play in 2022. They also showed when they played complementary football, they could be really good (see the Clemson game).

Hartman calling the shots behind that OL (which returns everybody, I believe) will be a huge improvement over what they rolled out last year.

I get degrees yes, both are great schools, but honestly this QB class is probably the weakest in many years. I mean most sites are calling Richardson a top 5 QB, da fuq. Seems like a good year to cash in with the hype IMO.

dont think hes a high draft pick as is. maybe a late rounder? why not try to win big at ND and prove yourself outside of the WF offensive system and see if it bumps you up another grade.

You sure about that at WR?. Not sure what ND has at wr anytime i watched them they were pedestrian...AT PERRY likely is better than any of their wr's im just throwing it out there. Wake's wr core is pretty good and ND just has a TE worth a ****. TE should be heading to nfl draft if he has sense.

I guess he chose ND for the prestige and maybe they paid him some NIL in hopes of getting his name up in the draft but their offense is pedestrian.

Man Wake's been getting some under the radar 3* kids for a minute now, I wouldn't mind picking off 1 or 2 recruits a year from them.

Does ND give out big NIL? Also, I don't know if the offensive talent at the skill position are better. When I watched ND, I thought their receivers were on par with our receivers, and I thought our receivers were God awful.
They give out good degrees. Not a bad spot to have a masters degree from

That’s a good point. I figure he’ll have a better Oline and I figure AT Perry is headed to the league. Notre Dame keeps some good TEs on that squad..

He'll have the ol , but those skills are pedestrian

They have 3 wrs that would start for us and we couldnt beat them out for a s.fla wr in this class.

For like the last 20+ years we couldn't get kids to stay in school...Now they all want to stay forever.

... unless it's a kid that Miami needs to stay; always some defensive lineman who has a decent year, would benefit for running it back for a senior year, still goes pro—after coaches advise for a return, but the agent and meddling family members tell him to "do what he's gotta do"—only to end up on a practice squad as an undrafted free agent who is out of football by the time September rolls around he'd have been suiting up for the Canes.

He was an outstanding player in the Wake Forest system. I'm interested to see how he performs in a completely different system. I believe that's partly why he's transferring instead of going pro so he can show NFL scouts he can operate within a more NFL, pro system.

Most impressive part of his game is the way he walks down that RPO. Agree with you about the system change for the NFL.

If it's a system that requires Him to make reads, throw into tight windows, and show arm strength, He'll suck. At Wake most of His chunk plays & TDs were to wiiiiiiiide open WRs off of that slow *** play action that they run.

ND has a dog**** offense.

ND has a dog**** passing game. They bring back one of the best ground games in CFB and with Hartman that offense will be pretty good. People don’t realize how limited Rees was with their QBs. Their Defense and Specials are very good and this will put them in the top 10 easily.
