LOL @ anybody who acted like we didn't need this kid.

He's the prototype Miami slot WR that we've been missing around here for years.
 
Exciting kid no doubt, i would have loved to have seen how well he would have done on a team that isn't STA. The team being so loaded hampered him a bit. Not sure how well his size will translate at the college level but i can't wait to find out.
 
Can someone make a Sam Bruce mix without dubstep and all that matrix ****?

This is the 8th one like that.
 
Whatever his stats are/aren't, you can see that he can do things with the ball in the open field that few can. It's Dugans' job to coach him up.

A lot of folks on here started poo-pooing the guy because they were scared of losing him. And yes, life would've went on without him. But consistently keeping guys like this at home is what we haven't been doing the last 10 years.... we've landed a few but rationalized all the losses (like some were doing here). You get enough guys with elite ability like Bruce on your roster and you can play with anyone.
 
he makes people look completely foolish. doesn't look like he has amazing top-end speed, but his cutting ability and acceleration are elite.
 
People were just trying to soften the blow when he said he was going elsewhere. Kid is a playmaker, period.

Those were people who can't cope with losing a big time recruit and it made them feel better about the possibility of losing him.
 
I love his toughness, attitude and the way he plays the game..You kinda have to be on the sideline to see it...dude just exudes confidence and the ol' Miami swagger..That is why I wanted him...Dude got more excited for a crack back block then a TD.... Dude is a helluva a football player..But if your thinking he is going to be our next Santana Moss...you will be disappointed, He wont have a high YPC, he wont score many 60 yard TD's but hes just one of those guys you want on your team..He is a PR not a KR

I see more Sinorice than Santana from a style perspective (but with more talent than Sinorice.) And his KR at 2:57 in that video tells me he might be both PR and KR - though I get your point about running styles. Either way he's an instant upgrade at slot and in the return game.

sadly, swofford will make sure he get slapped with some nebulous targeting penalty if he tries it.

This is pretty much how I feel. The kid is short but he's a beast. No neck. He's going to get the tough yards and won't be afraid to take a hit. Then when he busts a tackle he can turn it into a huge play.
 
It's crazy to me that people on this site doubt this kid's ability yet everybody in here loved the Berrios signing. Worried about Bruce's size or speed, man GTFOH. Those are South Florida athletes he's embarrassing in those clips. LoL

I try to separate the clear morons around here from people that actually know. I don't think anyone is doubting him I just don't see Santana Moss, but there isn't any Santana Moss' out there just walking around. But like you said when a kid plays against the top competition I like his chances of coming in right away and showing what he can do, especially with a really good QB
