Sam brooks hasn’t set the world on fire this year when he has been in there. I get our backers suck but SB6 made 2 plays all night and people are sucking him off. What’s he done the rest of the year? Why can’t he take the job of our sorry backers?

He isnt any worse than the old limited unathletic stiff hags we continue to jog out there. Start the youth movement, get him ready. Hard for him to get into a groove/grow/learn if he is barely playing. The athletic ability will take over the more comfortable he gets and the more the game slows down for him. He needs to play.

He certainly has had his issues and isn’t great with his play diagnosis but that is because we do horrible job of prepping players before they are truly needed. Then when we need someone to step up, we have to depend on Senioritis cuz the players behind them don’t know what they are doing when they get on the field.

I get we’re upset and I was one of the people who asked after UL if we missed Shaq and Pinckney yet, but Sam Brooms takes the same bad angles and gets washed down just as much as the rest of the LBs. I mean he made two plays all night......we’re those the only two plays he was in the game. I bet he played 25-30 snaps and showed up on 2 plays.

that’s all I’m saying. We might be better with him in there but he has yet to show it. Look I’m all for not playing 44 anymore but to think SB6 is some kind of magic eraser at LB isn’t the case either imo

If Huff is further away, he still should be playing ahead of Jennings and McCloud after that showing.

Steed, Flagg, Brooks, Huff all play faster. Not sure why Steed didn’t get much burn time.
 
Manny said Brooks has been battling a foot injury, so that could explain the limited role thus far.

As @DMoney already mentioned, I expect him to play more.
