This is another puzzling thing about the coaching decisions. Our LBs been getting gashed and shaken off runners until Brooks came in and made 2 great plays in a row. One knocking the snot out the RB. And he disappears. Go figure!! Receivers doing crap and McCloud and Jennings doing crap, yet they stay in the game.

Totally agree! If the older players' instincts and knowledge can't adequately make up for lack of athletic ability, then you HAVE to go with the best athletes.

I would think stick with the hot hand would apply for the defense as well, but apparently not after seeing 44 and 53 keep trotting their sloth footed asses out there when 6 was attacking and making a play.

Our culture is to play guys even though they consistently blow assignments. That's not championship culture building, its coddling we coddle our players plain and simple.

We have slow LBs making mistakes and missing tackles anyways, at least fast LBs have a chance to recover. Not much downside to changing.

Wow Sam hit him like a truck full speed. No hesitation. No thoughts. He went after him like the killer he is. It’s already been said here but if the older guys are slow and out of position and making mistakes then play the guys who are out of position but maybe have the requisite athleticism to make up for it
