Guys like Crutchfield and Jaydin Broadnax are the perfect example of south Florida players you see balling while watching random Kentucky and Louisville games on Saturdays

yup if you miss on the next tier of guys your after i would watch their early games and maybe ttarget them as safety flips. Atleast Crutchfield because you lightly engaged with him....his issue might be speed. But his film checks out ad size seems legit.

I was asking about these two a while ago while we were chasing higher ranked prospects, we should get these guys in the class first then swing for the big fish

Committed to Texas Tech. He will be a beast for them.

I’m convinced that guys like this are distracted by staying close to home and thus are able to zone in and really focus on football at these schools.

Ur family not distracting you with issues, ur local women can’t get to you whenever they want, and underrated but biggest of all - your “bad egg” close friends are FAR FAR away from you.

Idk if this has been said but in case it hasn’t. None of these “5” kids we currently have will be excited to switch to safety. Corners make way more money and are drafted higher due to how much more valuable they are. I don’t see it going over well asking one or two to switch prior to coming, or practice at safety once here. Plus then the one who’s asked will feel disrespected as they’re the one who is kinda cut from corner among the 5. Some may be more willing than others, but I believe all want to play corner at this point in time and want a shot to.

Butch was big on bringing DB’s in and giving them a look at CB and S and seeing what worked best. I would do that with this class. I think Jennings might function best at safety.

I wonder why Miami hasn't offered a kid like Tre Bell from Goleman? I understand you're not gonna get every kid, but they didn't even throw an offer at him. Committed to FSU, to an OV to Auburn, and I know Bama was (might still be?) in on him, so now just a rando kid. He seems pretty locked in to FSU now, but the fact that they never even went his way with an offer is befuddling. He would have been interested too. Oh well...

precvious db coaches didnt like him as a prospect...it appears the same with this group as well

Crazy we are in this position. At least we have a couple DTs committed even if neither is a star. We don’t have a single safety in this class and it’s already the most thin position on this year’s team.

Did you watch the safety play for UM in 2025?

Our recruiting competition has employed videotaped "highlights" to show the utter comedic incompetence at the position.
I’m sorry, but what does this have to do with me wondering why Miami didn’t offer Tre Bell? I don’t mean it to come off disrespectful, but it may. I legitimately want to know why Miami hasn’t offered a solid safety prospect in its own backyard, that’s all.

In my opinion, the new staff members targeted/prioritized players with whom they had existing relationships at their old school. The good news is they are prioritizing local 2027 talent, for example, Dopson and Jones.
