In my opinion, the new staff members targeted/prioritized players with whom they had existing relationships at their old school. The good news is they are prioritizing local 2027 talent, for example, Dopson and Jones.

That's a fair explanation, even if it has me raising my eyebrow lol. They have to hit on the 2027 cycle though because 2026 has been brutal.
