He didn't think his comments through. He mentioned Texas A&M and Miami. Mario and Lindsey Graham.. I mean Jimbo Fisher.. both worked for him. So did Texas's HC. And Oregon's, Georgia's, Florida's. Michigan State's and Maryland's. AND Lane Kiffin, who LOVES to talk ****. **** could get outta hand for Saban real quick.
Yea he's in trouble especially if Jimbo ain't picking up the phone. I'm sure Saban is calling other coaches like please don't say anything. He's a big piece of **** and the media crowned him. Everyone knew he was cheating and was allowed too

Fucc Saban, and the Dodge Charger he drove to that meeting in! Ny99a has become a millionaire off of free labor. Handing out "under the table" bags and cars to 5 star recruits like candy on Halloween. Now he's got issues cause the playing field has been leveled a little bit. FOH!!! Sanctimonious *******.

I wouldn't exactly call it free labor. As you said a lot of his players have received bags and cars. I believe things needed to change where players got compensation for their image and likeness. However, as I have mentioned in the past all players have gotten a free education, housing, food, etc that accounts for hundreds of thousands of dollars at some of these schools. I don't believe Saban is against players getting paid. I believe he's mainly upset that Alabama's advantage of being able to pay smaller amounts under the table has now been nullified.

It was free labor for MOST of his players. All of em don't get cash and cars. Just the really good ones.

I'll go with discounted labor if you call it that. A ride to Alabama with housing, food, books, etc. In addition, most of the players are treated like gods and given jobs after they graduate if they're not able to make it to the pros. None of that is free.

Saban should have read some SEC history books. The SEC only became the SEC after the Albert Means fiasco, and by that I mean after they stopped reporting each other to the NCAA for recruiting violations and went full cosa nostra. He really just opened himself up by 1) going after an SEC program 2) going after someone who learned it all from him 3) doing it in a day where former players and recruits are happy to speak and have social media to do so and 4) did all of this in a new setting where this stuff is beyond the NCAA's control. The guy is a master politician, but this was a really shortsighted move.

I can't believe I am writing this but Saban may have crossed the line into slander/defamation. Does TAMU or Prime want to take it that far? Not sure but publicly stating that schools are "buying" players could be a very real problem for Saban and Bama.

Should be easy to establish "actual malice"...
