After what @Cribby posted about seeing him live in HS. I wasn't too mad about him flipping. It was the unnecessary shot he took at us in that interview. He can stay "locked in a cage" in Gainesville for all I care.

And btw, uf is playing alot of freshman. Even that corner Flowers who reclassified and got there in the summer. If he can't get PT, that's on him.
The part hes to slow is when I didn’t care . We don’t need to go back to slow dbs

I didn't realize he was that slow. I went back and re-watched those clips of UFAG's spring game. He wasn't in very many of the clips. One of the plays, he's totally lost. Turns around to change directions and falls down. There wasn't a blocker in the area. Another play, he gets burned over the middle. I think he makes the read, but he can't quite get in the best position and then shows 0 athleticism to make the play. The few other plays, he didn't have much of an opportunity to be involved with the play before the play was over.

I know it's hard to gauge everything based on a spring game. They are pretty vanilla and boring. Players probably not going 100% most of the time. I'm sure we will say the same things about ours. But, from just first observations on UF's spring game, Stubbs is slow and lacks quickness and explosiveness.

His game was all about short area quickness and explosiveness. His highlights showed that and he looked like a great in the box safety. There just was nothing showcasing his range whatsoever.

Yes, he looks much more explosive in his high school highlights. I still really didn't see any quickness. Looked like he had good instincts and could diagnose the play, but it took him a bit to get moving. Once he got up to speed, he could close and make the play and lay the wood.

I think that lack of quickness and overall speed going to be a problem area for him his college career. I might be wrong, he's only a true sophomore. But, if you don't have that speed and quickness to being with, its seldom developed and it really shows up at the college level where the speed of the game is levels above high school.
