S. Coley out again?

Coley is dangerously close to joining the disturbingly robust list of 4 and 5 star WR that have underwhelmed at Miami.

What is even more disturbing is when was the last time we actually hauled in a deep WR class. It seems that we get maybe 1 4 star each year and a 5 star every 7-8 years. Why can Miami not get 2-3 4 stars and 1 5 star WR every year? Makes no sense. Sucks that we rely on 1 kid in about every class to be a real threat when we should have at minimum 2.

The guy has played one game so far his JR season and all of you are calling him a bust? Where do some of you get these silly thoughts?

Muhammed - Not used effectively - for all the pressure he generates he rarely puts anyone on the ground---that's a staff issue
Burns - Looked mediocre for 2 years, has had a couple of picks fall in his lap this season, chance to break out this year but otherwise will be another talented guy who underachieved
Carter - Has done nothing of any real note so far, staff doesn't use him in his natural role as an in the box safety
Coley - Super talented, staff if wasting his game-breaking ability
Corn - Stud
Grace - Stud
Griffin - Dammit mane
Olsen - This rating was all pot smoke and mirrors

'12
Bush - Stud but gets taken off the field too often
Flowers - Obviously a stud
Hamilton - Total bust
Howard - Was never the most physically gifted, staff needed to put him in a system in which he could use his limited skillset and they haven't
Duke - All Timer
Kirby - Mediocre if we are being generous - should have redshirted
Lewis - Mediocre since injury
Lochart - Dammit mane
McCord - Wasted talent...natural pass rusher who we have tried to make a space player

'11
Chick - Wasted talent in this system. Would have been a 6-8 sacks per year guy at UiF under Muschamp that could also play the run
Grimble - Lolz

Say what?

Too early to pass judgement on class of 2014, but otherwise you're kind of proving the point with this list. Hit rate nowhere near where it should be, and with rare exception it is on the coaches.

Thank you for the bios.
I'm just taking the comment as its written...."where 4 and 5 stars go to die".
Obviously they're not all dead.

...like the Olsen line...

Yeah I think the general sentiment is that MOST of the 4 or 5 stars that come here either underachieve or wash out. Getting 20 4-5 stars on campus and only seeing 6 or 7 of them become "studs" is what makes people think that 4-5 stars might be better off going elsewhere.

His name is Stacy and he is built like Tyra banks. How can you expect him to be mentally or physically tough?

7 losses with all that. Say what?

I'm not defending anyone.
Let's just stick with your comment:

That comment is false.
Period.

The 5* we have gotten since Al got here: Chick, Howard, Thomas. I'd say they all wish they would have gone somewhere else.

Where? and Why?
If your good, the League will find you.
Championships?
Talk to the kids that ran to Bama over the last 3 recruiting cycles. Or Florida before that. Maybe they've should have gone to any of the SEC schools not located in the state of Alabama.
NOTHING is guaranteed.
Also, see my note below on Alabama.

I'd like to run through Bama's recruiting over the last 4 years to see what kind of success those 4/5 stars achieve. They've AVERAGED 18 4/5* guys over the last 5 years. We've averaged half that, yet we've had as many players drafted than anyone.

What gives?
If most of our players "underachieve or wash out", then a greater percentage of Bama's players underachieve or wash out. What is their hit rate?
So maybe people should rethink where they think the 4/5 stars go.

Stacy Coley = Aldarius Johnson

Guys with athletic talent, but question their ability as WR, and can't seem to stay healthy.
