Welcome to business boys. Players can’t have their cake and eat it too - you wanna be paid and treated like a pro? Can do, that means you’re expendable now too, just like the pros.
All those years the locals jacked UM around and held them hostage in recruiting, well guess what? UM has the advantage in the new environment and doesn’t have to cater to get or keep quality players here, we’ll just go national. That also means no loyalty and keeping any injured, problem or kids who didn’t pan out just because they’re local. Saban taught Mario well. Love it.
If he is injured and never fully healed, then I hear you on the football side, but I’d like to think the school would still allow him a scholarship to be a student. Hopefully he gets his chance elsewhere.Welcome to business boys. Players can’t have their cake and eat it too - you wanna be paid and treated like a pro? Agreed across the board. I hope he fulfills his pre-injury potential and achieves his dreams.I’m sure they would if he decided to stop playing and just be a student. By his post though he wants to continue playing, just won’t be here. Wish the kid luck, like @Gogeta said, blame his DA HS coach for the injury.
thank his dumb *** hs coach..who folks locally have as some type of gawd for having kids playing unregulated games when they dont have to for no **** reason at all which led to him breaking his leg in the first place.
Outside of hoarding youth talent and having them follow to whichever new program he jumps to, what the **** is Jube actually good at? Yelling ************ at kids in his "lit" pre-game speeches?thank his dumb *** hs coach..who folks locally have as some type of gawd for having kids playing unregulated games when they dont have to for no **** reason at all which led to him breaking his leg in the first place.
I dont think any way he was pushed out, we kept him on scholarship knowing his leg injury was so bad he was likely out close to 2 years. My guess is he just lost that step, a la TreVonte Citizen and we just had an honest convo like if you want to play it likely wont be here. DIdnt hear anything about him causing issues, in fact I did hear he made some plays on greentree and was ahead of schedule. Sucks but its the business. Also with rosters increasing to over 100 unlikely to be forcing kids out that at worst are quality practice squad players unless they were an issue. Was he pushed out? Kinda sad that he’s in the portal and is begging for someone to give him a shot.

Hey i guess he can call a good defensive game.Outside of hoarding youth talent and having them follow to whichever new program he jumps to, what the **** is Jube actually good at? Yelling ************ at kids in his "lit" pre-game speeches?
I haven't dug deep into his defensive scheme, but when the defense is filled with future college players playing against offenses that aren't as talented or don't have a clue on how to run an offense I'd guess his defensive calls look great.Hey i guess he can call a good defensive game.
But your observation is mines as well. His speeches apparently is what sets him apart from others i guess.
To win in south florida recruiting is 80 percent of the game and he has that sewn up apparently. They will win alot at Columbus and im sure he'll get the credit even though they have won states prior.
ME AND YOU HAVE THE SAME EXACT OBSERVATIONS.I haven't dug deep into his defensive scheme, but when the defense is filled with future college players playing against offenses that aren't as talented or don't have a clue on how to run an offense I'd guess his defensive calls look great.
Columbus's new direction with Jube on staff is an interesting one. That's a lot of transfers they just brought in not as many transfers at Carol City, but pretty **** close. I wonder how it'll work with these guys at Columbus because they won't be home taking online classes and playing like at True North or Norland. It'll be interesting to follow.
the game is the game...
